I've been wondering if it's the opposite: Kim's dead. Was there any background as to why Kim reached out to the Saul's former administrative assistant or was it out of the blue?
Wondering if Saul's become reckless because of what he found out about Kim.
Francesca said Kim reached out when “the **** went down,” which I’m taking to mean when Saul disappeared.

The best interpretation I have of why Gene’s gone full Saul is that he’ll “always be Slippin’ Jimmy.” Remember his modeling the shirt in the department store? This was before the phone call.

Yeah, Marion is 100% going to pick up the phone.

Howard’s wife is listed as a cast member for E12.
If she has more than a couple of lines I would think that it would be in the context of her confronting Saul in the aftermath of Kim quitting the bar and (presumably) leaving town.

Cliff Main is in the cast list too, albeit in E13, not E12. I always thought that Cliff would eventually come to question Kim’s blowing off the meeting and I got a feeling we haven’t heard the last of this from Cliff. It’s difficult to put myself into Cliff’s shoes because he’s unaware of Kim’s bad side, her culpability.

I wonder if Gene has another heart attack running his scam just like his first partner did.

I’m guessing that Gene gets caught on this last breaking and entering at the cancer patient’s house. He ends up going to court, and the prosecutor is…..Kim.

Gilligan got some criticism about the improbable logistics of the final shootout in Breaking Bad. I’m expecting an impeccably crafted finale in BCS.

I get tired of all the “critics” out there. The internet is mostly poison and a playground for the “perceived” Illuminati. Gilligan should track them down and put a ban on them so they can never watch BB or BCS reruns or any new shows he develop.

very, very underrated comedy. The scene with Mark Hamill dressed up as a villain named Cock-knocker is absolute genius

Divorce documents - Jimmy was on marriage license, not Saul. So Saul was never married, Jimmy was, but I thought Jimmy changed his legal name to Saul. How does that work legally with the name change? He can change for legal purposes but still keep his name when he later marries?

I have a very strong feeling that Jimmy/Saul/Gene will not be getting married again.

Wow, they crammed quite a bit into last night. Kim, Howard’s wife, Jesse, Jeffie, Marion. So, ultimately, besides being his own worst enemy, Jeffie is ultimately the downfall of Saul, along with Saul’s own out of control ego. Saul could scam low life criminals out of trouble, but could not see his own comeuppance due to his own line of b.s. “Viktor St Claire calling”. Kim driving past the booth where Mike worked at the parking for the courthouse and seeing an automated marchine for payments. So many friggin’ details in these shows.

I did notice his American Samoa diploma said Saul Goodman so he went through the effort to request a new document with his updated name there but not for his marriage

Why was the name Saul Goodman on the law degree? I thought that he was still Jimmy when he got it.
I have to add that the cinematography of the B&W episodes has been absolutely brilliant, especially for a TV show.
And with the color reflection of Marion's computer screen revealing his identity in Saul's glasses

He legally changed it to that so I guess it had to be reflected on a re-issued law degree. Just another little bit of how Jimmy left himself behind for Saul. That was for his business and legal profession, guess it didn’t need to be done on the marriage license.

Jimmy has been trying to self destruct for a while. Kim pretending all of these years and jimmy calling set her off? The wife of Howard only cared about herself and because of the way he “killed” himself her reputation suffered. Maybe if she was caring towards him he would not have showed up at there house. Again, maybe gene planned it to get caught. He bought her the laptop. When he said to her “Albuquerque” over the phone I was like why would you say that. But Jimmy knows what he is doing. She looked him up.

They do the reflection thing often. Memorably: when Fring is with Eladio and Bolsa and the fire is reflected in his glasses.

Not really germane to the BCS discussion but, for the lawyers on board, how does Jimmy/Saul need to sign those divorce papers? With the name on the document or with his current legal name? Or does it not matter with a notary present?

When Jimmy got his law license back, he set up a DBA (Doing Business As) using the name Saul Goodman. There was never any scene showing that he legally changed his name.

If by germane you mean completely relevant then your post makes perfect sense.:)

Notice that Titusville Kim cannot make the smallest decision on her own.

That makes sense. When Jimmy originally asked for the paperwork to become Saul I just assumed it was the term for a name change, but the internet terms it more like a trademark. So that makes sense for the marriage, however the law license now seems a bit questionable.
