Well, that’s that. With Manny gone, who among the PSU coaches has the best hair?
I copy Franklin's style. It works for the Rock, Jason Stratham , Vin Diesel, Patrick Steward, Samuel Jackson, Travolta, Jordan, etc. It's guaranteed to get you to 10-2. You lose to the most coiffed, but take down the bed heads, comb overs, and the deep power alleys.

If true, I hope everyone appreciated how good this guy was. There was some hate about the hire initially. No one is happy to see him go now.

Yet another reason to eye roll at these 10-2 bowl game charades that some pine for: totally new coaches not coaching in them or outgoing coaches continuing to coach in them, whose systems won't be here on January 2. On the positive, I guess some have their 2024 excuse for the head coach ready to go: "well, we have a new DC and OC, what do you expect, they need time to get their system in place?!"

I'm not looking for excuses. 10-2 is pretty damn good. If some fans aren't happy BooFnHoo!

I think Duke is pretty solid; they're not football crazy so he'll get some time to build a program. It's an excellent environment to work in and the ACC (if and until they figure out how to bail on their GOR) isn't as top heavy/deep as the B1G and SEC.
NIce place.....ain't gonna win there. As soon as a coach has an 8-4 record, they look to leave.

Agreed. Aside from a mid to top tier Big Ten or SEC program (which there was near 0% chance Diaz would get, given the history of his prior HC gig), that is a very good job.
The money will be very good (outrageously good, compared to the average mere mortal), the location and university are very inviting, the expectations are reasonable, and the ability to meet those expectations (get to a bowl, play some decent football and maybe beat UNC relatively often) are achievable.

There are hordes of college coaches (including many pretty solid college coaches) who would give their left arm for that gig.

Who would be some names on Franklin's short list to take the job? I was hoping Elijah Robinson would be available but he is off to Syracuse.

Coaches have been known to switch gears and take other jobs shortly after they've accepted a new one. See:...............Manny Diaz. \

Worth a try if Franklin wants Robinson.
Yep. I doubt if Manny got any references from Broad Street.

What has Robinson shown as a DC? I honestly don’t know, has he been good?

We were screwed before Manny. We’ve been screwed forever. This is just another turn of the wrist.

Might go with Poindexter on this, unless being "fiercely loyal" is a thing of the past.
That would not surprise me at all.

Will be interesting to see the price tag on whomever it is. One would think AP - never having been a DC, save for his short stint at UConn - would be relatively affordable (by today's standards). Still a lot to play out.

Rest assured, there will be hate for the new guy as well. Some people revel in negativity and despair.
