It's about time . The spoiled brat needs to go .
Jay is a ninny, but Mauti should just STFU. I'm nor sure that anyone knows WTF is going on here.
How the hell would you know if he was spoiled or not? Jay donates his time and money. Does he have different opinions than others he does. Instead of insulting each other Penn Staters better start working together instead of insulting each other. If you are not helping the program in some manner then end the insults. It's about time . For all practical purposes I've put Penn State in my rear view mirror. Infighting like this confirms that decision was the right one for me. Last week I made a very nice donation to a local charity. It was money that once would have gone to Penn State. Now my donations go to organizations where I can see the results directly. My dollars have a greater impact, the beneficiaries of my giving have a greater need, and I am at peace.
I don't think that is a good look for the University.

So... non local hookers are okLocal hookers are not a charity dude.
I've done the same and that includes my will. Silver lining in all of this is that it opened my eyes wider to other priorities and that there are so many more important things in this world than Penn State. As you and I have said to one another over the last 15 years or so, loyalty from this University's perspective is a one way street. For all practical purposes I've put Penn State in my rear view mirror. I posted it on Saturday in the Men’s basketball thread. You must have missed it.
Well said, and yet I have a very close friend who has not wavered in his commitment to Dear Old State. He has made efforts to bring me back into the fold but, as you said, there are so many more important things in this world than Penn State. I see the commitment the men and women of my local volunteer fire department have to my community and yet they have to take extra time during Lent to do fish frys in an effort to raise extra cash. While I love the fish, I urge everyone to make an annual donation to help them out. Some day they may save your life, or that of a family member or friend. That said, I can't be critical of those here who still bleed blue and white. As long as their decision is thoughtfully made, and most are, who am I to say they are wrong?I've done the same and that includes my will. Mauti does know what is going on. This is directly related to the SWH effort to raise money which Shrewsberry to remain at PSU. Jay is on the board of SWH while Mauti is a principal with Lions Legacy Club. Both are active collectives, but, for some reason, SWH seems to be the “chosen one” by PSU athletics. It appears that SWH is a bunch of hot air aiming to bolster the reputation of individuals — Jay/Libra o — and not the overall athletic department. BTW, the next time someone defends Jay, please take into account that as a member of the PSU BOT he has. Insistently voted against funding requests from Franklin.Jay is a ninny, but Mauti should just STFU. I'm nor sure that anyone knows WTF is going on here.

Well - why wouldn't Mauti and his group simply walk in to Shrewsberry's office and tell him "I've got a couple million for you"? Would Shrewsberry have said "no"? What did the "other" (Mauti-involved) NIL do with all the money THEY raised - where is it? (Or is it all "hot air"?)Mauti does know what is going on. I’ll agree to disagree. Someone has to alert the PSU “faithful” that Jay is only interested in himself. It’s not about defending Jay. Mauti was a punk, on social media for the world to see. Just a horrible look.
Thought they were if non union?Local hookers are not a charity dude.
Does he? IIRC, Mauti's collective focuses solely on football. How does he know what others are doing?Mauti does know what is going on. Hopefully you can leave your house today with all the embarrassment hanging over your head. Some of this nonsense is more fan driven than anything else.Do it respectfully on social media. How hard is this to understand? Jay kept it classy, and Mauti was a punk, again on social media for the world to see. It’s fine to have a healthy disagreement, but do it with respect. Mauti embarrassed all of us. It was a terrible look for PSU, even if he was right in his position on NIL.
Then why come on a message board to rant. Part of the solution isn’t pulling support (nose/face analogy) but increasing it. NIL is the single biggest obstacle facing PSU for each and every sport. If you believe Jay, give to SWH. If you don’t LLC and Mauti and football will gladly put your gift to good use. Time to stop blustering and be part of the solution. Penn State has shown many bad looks over the past 10-15 years.I don't think that is a good look for the University.
The only case of which I'm aware that might point to that conclusion is Jay voting against taking on $40mm of debt to finance Phase II of the renovations to Lasch and Holuba. Is that anti-Franklin? Perhaps. But an argument could also be made that it wasn't a good look for a University dealing with annual nine-figure deficits. Is there some reason that Jay wants Franklin to fail or leave? I get that impression from reading posts here and elsewhere vis a vis his so-called lack of support. Doesn't make much sense to me. If he wants to preserve his father's legacy I would think he would want the program to soar to new heights. He could claim that it was based upon a foundation that Joe built. Elsewise, there was not much of a foundation to begin with.

The people who pay the bills are entitled to ask questions and get straight answers. If they aren’t listened to they can put their money somewhere else. The evidence is that is what many are doing.Hopefully you can leave your house today with all the embarrassment hanging over your head. Some of this nonsense is more fan driven than anything else.
How do some idiots have the outright stupidity to challenge your view?Well said, and yet I have a very close friend who has not wavered in his commitment to Dear Old State. Sure, there is also many still so hurt by what the BoT did to Joe that they want to hold it against the current group of coaches and players up there across the board as punishing them or withholding money there will resurrect Joe any day now and make it right. Then they complain about the lack of results.....so some want it both ways and they look like fools talking out of both sides of their mouths. That is fine, but if they were really done they sure as **** would really walk away....but they just want their gripes to be heard like the toddlers they are.The people who pay the bills are entitled to ask questions and get straight answers. I could care less about the Mauti/Paterno pissing match. I’m referencing the “I’m done with PSU and will give elsewhere nonsense “ Pick a side and support PSUThis is BS.
It’s quite obvious some don’t want the truth out in the open. How do you debate and make decisions with a lack of information?
The Penn State way? “Toss your good money this way and shut up.” F that.
I have no problem with anyone questioning Jay. But rather than hurl non-specific allegations, Mauti should specify what Jay did or didn't do in this case or what Coach Shrewsberry requested that wasn't delivered.I’m confused. Some here complain all the time about the BOT and how they did us wrong and continue to do so. Then when someone from the BOT puts something out on social media that refutes what is being reported, we are supposed to just take them at their word and not question it now? Why? Why change your position? Because of the last name of the person who did it? Would some have different thinking if the last name was different? I thought we were supposed to support those questioning the BOT? I always find it fascinating in our society that we champion freedom of speech until someone has a different opinion then the response is STFU? Anyway, for the record, as an alum, I’m not embarrassed by Mauti.
