If I were Doty I would transfer out

You are so full of s**t. Just a crybaby, burn-it-down if I can have it my way post.

Nobody who is a real fan of the TEAM would suggest that our #2 QB leave the team. He is one injury from being our starting QB. Ridiculous. Just a negative nancy trying to spread more negativity.

If I were you, I'd transfer out to be a fan of another team.
You're the same guy you've always been on here. Vitriolic. Don't bother with another immature profanity-laced personal attack, I won't see it because you're blocked. I hope you actually have more happiness in your life than your posts would indicate.

The OP did not say he wants Doty to transfer. Rather, he said if he were in Doty’s shoes, that’s what he would do.

There’s a massive difference between the two.
Thank you for actually reading the post, lol. Some people on here just like to make personal attacks because they don't know how to have adult discussion. We can always agree to disagree respectfully, but some posters on here don't have the mental or emotional capacity...

Ludicrously stupid. If you tell someone "if I were you, I would do this", you clearly support them doing "that".

My life is fantastic. Of course, I'm not trying to backstab a program I claim to support. I want Doty right here next year. Can't wait to see him lead our offense on the field.

I have a hard time believing someone not understanding the difference between good for the team vs good for the individual.

So eliminating that, I'm left with believing he misunderatands on purpose in order to have an excuse for another hissy fit.

Apparently just having a simple conversation without drama is unacceptable for some reason.

Because this is a Gamecock forum, not a Doty forum, and it's about our team, not individual players.

And the drama is coming from someone who gets on a team's forum and encourages their backup QB to transfer. Idiotic.

Yeah, I mean, I recognize he's the #2 QB and him leaving *could* affect the team, but I don't think it would in the long run. If he were contributing weekly in game play it would be different.

Doty is a gamecock, and I'm sure you know we often discuss players on the team as individuals.

But I also know you have to pretend not to understand so you can keep up the name calling hissy fit.

Agreed. Espn had his stats at 14 attempts for the whole year. That loss would hardly break the back of this offense.

Does he get a covid year? Because this is his third year. And with Rattler not sniffing a draft position, his choice may be to come back and ride the bench while he finishes his degree vs going out to look for playing time.

Ridiculous. He IS the starter next year if Rattler leaves. One injury this year, and he IS our starter now. Losing him would be a HUGE setback.

I don't pretend anything. It's you that pretends, like you pretended to not understand what a fluke win was when it came to App St and TAMu. You clearly understood it when Frank made the big dance, despite that being 4 wins and 2 being blowouts.

Or like you pretended that we were the 13th best team in the SEC last year, despite 2 teams having a worse record than us. Of course, how did that work out? I was right was usual.

So troll on. That's all you are good for. Because you certainly aren't good for being right about anything.

You're pretending to defend the program against those "horrible attacks" of people discussing player transfers. Hate to break it to you, but with the transfer portal, these sorts of conversations are going to become common place.

And it's hysterical to me that you still think you make sense about mis-defining "fluke" and messing up simple math.

But what would your hissy fits be without delusions and creative twists on what really happened?

Simple math tells you that if your SEC record is better than 2 other SEC team's record, then you can't be 13th. And like I said, who ended up right at the end of the season?

Like I said, you've never been right about anything.

Who said we would be 13th at the end of the season? No wonder you think you're "right", you just make up crap nobody ever said.

I guess that's necessary to keep up the hissy fits.

If I were Joyner I would have transferred after that bowl game. I'm not saying he's all that. But he could fit another scheme better whether that's as a QB or WR.

It's clear they're wasting his talent. Satterfield's dogged dedication to the underperforming Rattler is clear. It's reminiscent of the time the coaches at Marshall left Byron Leftwich in with a broken leg rather than putting in the backup. I mean, I don't see how Doty could be any worse. He's got more time in the offensive system. He'd have to throw 2 picks in every remaining game to throw more than Rattler. I hate it for the guy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go somewhere else and do pretty well, like Brice at App State. I know they lost last night, but he's really had a good season overall. It would be one thing if we had an elite QB Doty was sitting behind, but it's not the case. He has shown real strength of character sticking it out and not complaining, but I think he's paid his dues. He could transfer out and I don't think he should feel any guilt about it if he does.
As a player Doty is not elite. It been stayed by former P5 coaches that Doty lacks the ability to be a top level SEC QB. I'll take there word over yours. Of Doty finds it in his best interest to leave . Best of luck O don't understand why you or any fan would want Doty thrust in this mess with Satterfield

What I would actually like to see is Shatterfield fired, and us running a real offense. I also said Doty might need to transfer down a division if he wants to play. After watching our team this season, do you really feel like the coaches have a solid grasp on what a real offense should look like? I know they are high paid coaches, but our offense ranks among the worst in college football so I don't see how they could be considered experts either. When you can sit on the couch with no coaching experience and diagnose the play before it happens, there's a problem.

Doty had a conversation with the staff 3 weeks ago about redshirting this year unless Rattler went down with an injury. Counting his extra covid year plus this redshirt year, if Rattler returns next year, Doty can still be QB1 in 2024 & 25. This has been posted and posted yet people keep asking about Doty. He’s good with this scenario.

I missed that. Thanks for posting. Sounds like a win win.

I agree based on Rats poor performance that Doty should at least be seeing the field. But it's obvious they don't want to upset the apple cart with Rat. They promised him the world regardless of how he performs.

Of all the players who were worked into the Vandy game, Doty wasn't one of them.

And if Rattler does go down we have a backup QB who has played all of 10 -15 snaps to come in and save the day. That's really thinking it through and being prepared.

So you're saying if we play him in cleanup duty, it is ok for him to give up a whole year of starting ?

Don't the rules allow a player to play in a certain number of games and still preserve his redshirt?
