Did you watch the Illinois game? Pry got a promotion and a handsome raise to HC after that deal. Were you happy with Pry, Art?
I was much happier with Pry than watching an obvious injured QB left in to take a beating because we didnt have a back up ready

I think we can find plenty of blame for the Illinois fiasco. I would agree that if you can hold a team to 18 points you should be able to win a game. not sure we didn't have a QB ready, because 3 weeks later we seemed to have a QB who was more than ready. If Clifford had not gotten hurt, he might have been allowed to just stay in the game.

Instant impact:

"Diaz joined Mark Richt's Miami staff as defensive coordinator in 2016 and led an impressive turnaround to the unit in his first season. The Hurricanes ranked fifth nationally in tackles for loss (up from 105th in 2015), tied for eighth in touchdowns allowed (up from 61st), ninth in yards allowed per play (up from 86th), 12th in scoring defense (up from 77th), 20th in total defense (up from 69th) and 22nd in sacks (up from 70th). Miami was the only team in the country to start three true freshmen linebackers that season - Zach McCloud, Michael Pinckney and Shaquille Quarterman."

He Didnt...it was similar to Belicheck and the Jets....got the Job offer and Miami offered him the HC job and he reneged on Temple.
Big difference is that Diaz told Temple in his interview that if Miami called he was going. Hard to fault the guy being upfront.
