Offense looked horrible today. I’d be getting Allar as many reps as possible.
Allar isn't the one dropping the passes. His passes were for the most part, hitting guys right where they needed to be. Receivers need to put extra work on their catchesOffense looked horrible today. I’d be getting Allar as many reps as possible.
Yeah, analysis isn’t your thing. I got it. It’s ok. We all get to be fans.good Lord
He overthrew 3-4 balls I attribute that to him feeling less comfortable in the pocket today than vs WVUAllar isn't the one dropping the passes. His passes were for the most part, hitting guys right where they needed to be. Receivers need to put extra work on their catches
Blaming a coach for everything isn’t analysis…in fact, it’s a sign that you don’t know all that much about the game.Yeah, analysis isn’t your thing. I got it. It’s ok. We all get to be fans.
16-33 passing, 208 yardsIf wildly outcoached means you’re up by 23 points in the 4th quarter and looking to score more, sign me up every week! Do we have to win by 50 to satisfy many of you? 60? Allow negative yards and score on every single offensive play? You guys are delusional.
I think this game will do him a lot of good- tough as it was for him.He overthrew 3-4 balls I attribute that to him feeling less comfortable in the pocket today than vs WVU
Yep. Forget making the playoffs or judging a team on their record. Let’s go with an analysis based on offensive stats and judge a team based on that. Not even Herbstreit and Mushmouf are that dense.16-33 passing, 208 yards
<4 yards/rush
They have to play well. They won today because Illinois couldn’t stop punching themselves in the face. You don’t have to like analysis, but there’s more going on in a game than the final score.
We did not run much clock on last possession followed by poor puntTheye sold out 100% to stop the run and dared PSU to throw- we didn't take the bait with an inexperienced QB and lead the entire game, wore them out and threw them into the dirt. And you people are crying- toughen up.

Yup. Pass plays were also generally poorly called. No shots down field. Got the #1 QB recruit in the country, and they didn’t put him in position to do anything. Way too conservative today.Allar isn't the one dropping the passes. His passes were for the most part, hitting guys right where they needed to be. Receivers need to put extra work on their catches
2 things in confused about…was Newton the best player on the field today and do we play Ohio State and Michigan this year?? Not sure if the announcers covered that today.
To be fair, I think he only badly overthrew one pass. The others were instances where he gave the receivers a chance to make a play, but where the D had no chance to pick it.I think this game will do him a lot of good- tough as it was for him.
Run the clockCan our defenders please turn around
As I said: everyone gets to be a fan. You don’t have to know anything about football in order to like it. Some people’s understanding is limited to the scoreboard. That’s just… not me.Yep. The coaching today was poor. I can get deep into it, if you want.Blaming a coach for everything isn’t analysis…in fact, it’s a sign that you don’t know all that much about the game.

Thought the same until that Beau 1st down. Thought Franklin gave up too soon. And as I'm typing an incompletion. Bit of a gamble. Now a fumble. Way too early to assume victory.Illinois not giving up
That was such crybaby ********! You put the 2nd stringers in the game, but they should still be allowed to PLAY. The onus is still on the defense to stop them, not for the offense to roll over and be nice. So, if we score a TD in the last 4 minutes of the game, is WVU's coach going to call a press conference to complain that we ran the score up on another helpless opponent?
That is… incorrect.3-0 the rest is just noise.
Your observations regarding this staff are spot on. Any thoughts about Pribula as a #2 and successor QB.You quote a post that I didn’t type. I am not blaming the coaches for everything. Read my original response.
I cite a lax culture and dumb penalties. Iffy (at best) play calls on offense. And a consistent inability to compete against OSU and UM when they have similar or better talent.
I’m not sure who typed what you quoted but it wasn’t me. I don’t begrudge your analysis skills.
