Very frustrated. Got home an hour ago looking to see something, I gotta sleep, pissed there’s no info. Cheers men.Well, that was a waste of time. ESPN condensed the game and took out the parts at the beginning of the 2nd quarter where Carter got dinged. I guess that's par for the course for the storyline on this with them.
The play calling was horrendous, the showboating, cheap shots, and just plain stupidity was exasperating (and embarrassing). And minus a few good early throws, Allar was lacking.I realize you can't run every down but we went completely away from the running game that was clearly working. That'll work against Boise but from here on out we'll be facing equal or better talent, so we need to play to our strength.
I think he frequently wears a sleeve on one arm anyway. I’m not sure that is new. He's got an arm.
I fear that it may be a triceps injury given that they had the sleeve on his upper arm. I'm rewatching the game now and will try to see what happened on his final play. Gotta say, it was an excellent job by the producer and on-camera talent to break down what happened to one of the best defensive players in college football (sarcasm).
So, you enjoyed the game then? The play calling was horrendous, the showboating, cheap shots, and just plain stupidity was exasperating (and embarrassing). And minus a few good early throws, Allar was lacking.
But the team was physical and should have won easily if not for the arrogance and poor offensive approach by AK and CJF.
Allen was underutilized but played a very strong game.
Secondary was fabulous minus one blown coverage. Tackling was very good…very, very good.
Boise was a complete fraud (as was SMU)…about as good as Illinois or Minnesota.
But eventually this kind of stupidity, arrogance, and poor sportsmanship will catch up with the Nits.
We have a fabulous draw (how can you not win your conference, not win you CCG and still get a pathetically easy draw - the football gods are shining on us this year!) and have decent chance to get to final game. But I suspect no Carter will spell big trouble eventually. And we will not be able to push around every team left less ASU.
Absolutely. Not pleased to see how PSU now behaves…but getting used to it (Franklin says the right things but the team is very undisciplined and this manifests itself at the worst times). So, you enjoyed the game then?
As I wait for my 4 am airport shuttle....How is it different / nicer?
I hope you're having a good time. Kudos for traveling.
These "bums" were very close to actually beating the #1 team in the country at Oregon. While PSU certainly didn't play the perfect game, they left little doubt about which team was going to advance.Wut, I said this pre game silly: We roll these bums 45-14. What say thee?
No, it was just you "getting your hopes up."You felt momentum swinging or no?
Play calling at times was indeed a head scratcher. I would love to know if those were the original play calls or if Allar checked into them. The play calling was horrendous, the showboating, cheap shots, and just plain stupidity was exasperating (and embarrassing). I don’t think this Boise team would hang withThese "bums" were very close to actually beating the #1 team in the country at Oregon. While PSU certainly didn't play the perfect game, they left little doubt about which team was going to advance.
I think many here and the "experts" in the media under sold Boise.
I believe he had the block that sealed the DT on Singleton's run.77 should be no where near trophy after his 3 penalties. Lol
Boise does lead the nation in sacks. Hi risk, high reward mentality.PSU actually is in the 20s for average sacks allowed per game at 1.3. Against OSU and UO they gave up 2 and 1 sacks respectively, so I would say that the 4 sacks tonight were a statistical outlier.

I think you need to mix it up to keep the D honest, but not with 3rd and short gimmicks when #13 was steam rolling and almost a guaranteed 1st down.I don’t think this Boise team would hang with
Oregon now. That September Oregon team is not the same team PSU faced a month ago.
PSU could have run 13 and 10 for 200 yards each if they would have recognized they were beating Boise on the LOS. It was just plain stupid to not run the ball until Boise stopped it. They never did.
I can imagine. My first roommate in Beam Hall was president of the Blue Band and boy howdy was he proud of it. Rightfully so.Something I noticed last night for the purists. I really enjoyed hearing the Blue Band in the background without the piped in music. I felt like I was watching a game back in the 80’s or 90’s from that respect. I hadn’t really noticed it all that much before last night. Hearing “Fight On State” and some of the older reliables that they play was refreshing.
Not only that. You owe it to the OLine who have been doing the heavy lifting, to let them do their job. OLine guys love that scenario. Bulldoze someone.I think you need to mix it up to keep the D honest, but not with 3rd and short gimmicks when #13 was steam rolling and almost a guaranteed 1st down.
eh I don't know, any given game day and all, Oregon squeaked by Wisconsin not too long agoI don’t think this Boise team would hang with

KT tape an Toradol and they will be out there. They aren't missing the next game.Play calling at times was indeed a head scratcher. I would love to know if those were the original play calls or if Allar checked into them.
It was a fortuitous draw. However, I'm going th assert that Texas has an equally attractive draw. Let's see if they take care of business today.he
Finally, I'm grateful for all 13 wins. However, Carter, DDS and Reed could be out. If so, yikes!

Correct. A nice seal and Rucci with the kick out.I believe he had the block that sealed the DT on Singleton's run.
Shelton had two key blocks on that play. Rucci has been an invaluable addition to this team.Correct. A nice seal and Rucci with the kick out.
Read my post Pookie. Every resident in the peanut gallery was screaming run the damn ball. I merely said I wonder if some plays got checked at the LOS. 13 wins this year and 34 in 3...the coaches don't need anyone's protection. Especially from some of the message board experts like you.must.protect.coaches
Boise was far better than you give them credit, but that’s not surprising….if it weren’t for backhanded compliments, you’d have no compliments at all.The play calling was horrendous, the showboating, cheap shots, and just plain stupidity was exasperating (and embarrassing). And minus a few good early throws, Allar was lacking.

We need to be sensitive to the intense pain and suffering of the BWICAC during this 13 win season. Lots of swallowing as well as muscle fatigue from moving goal posts. They are a resilient group, however, and will be motivated to step in and remind us that we deserve better soon.the win must have pained you
Funny how no one has mentioned the strides he's made. Going from a guy that rarely saw the field to an integral part of this OL. Kudos to him and the staff that never gave up on him....even though he committed elsewhere.Shelton had two key blocks on that play. Rucci has been an invaluable addition to this team.
Bite your lip.To the critics:
PSU never trailed in the game.
Final score 31-14
They beat the spread.
D handled one of the best backs in the county.
O gave us lots of big exciting plays.
Special teams not too shabby.
Enjoy!
Be Happy!
Kind of a spur of the moment decision among 6 of my PSU buds that all somehow came together at the last minute. So much fun, but the Boise State fans were definitely louder.Nice! Hope you had a great time. Wish I could have been there too.
