Unwillingness or inability to be critical of your team doesn’t make you a better fan. Just a more ignorant one.

Which, again, is fine. But it’s a lot like having sneering contempt for the doctor because he’s studied medicine and you haven’t.
There is "critical" and there is constantly negative in the face of a winning effort. You are no doctor, and I doubt you stayed in a Holiday Inn last night either.

I heard the same type crap about our five turnovers against Illinois where four of them were forced by the defense. When you have a team rattled, things happen.
We’re getting turnovers we might have whiffed on before, but Illinois QB play is just bad. As a team they were rolled by Kansas and barely beat FAM yesterday. We really don’t get tested until tOSU

We just beat a ranked team and beat them handily. Maybe that doesn’t mean they are bad, maybe it means we are good….oh the horror.

We agreed you’d stop til a loss, even if that means fall 24
Don’t worry. He’s moved on to constantly posting negative stuff about the university in general or the BOT. He stirs the pot with a big spoon and his negative posse eats it up, hook, line, and sinker.

Bite your tongue. Only the BWICAC can pronounce this team "okay. "

you don’t think Iowa’s offense is bad?
For the record, Iowa (imo) is a bad team. But so is Illini, thus my frustration with last week. We should have done this LAST week too. Water under the bridge. If you suck, I want to kill you. Got what I need this week and I am happy. Throw in a crapfest v NW, who is truly crappy, and I’m back with Bob
#11am. Figure it out coach.

Now that we’ve had around 12 hours to hate last night’s non-loss, how bad are we really?

Iowa got dominated and the majority of it was because we put the clamps down. Take the All fumble. Reed and DDS both went after the ball on the tackle, which led to a fumble we recovered.

Other than the punt that hit an Iowa blocker in the shoulder, there were no lucky breaks (Saunders going for a punt he dropped and recovered was a bad move on his part, but he at least scrambled to recover). They couldn't move on us, period. They couldn't run. There QB had no time to pass. Their punter did his part and the defense tried to hold up, but we intentionally kept them on the field.

This game was sheer dominance no matter how you slice it. In the scheme of things, we don't know how good of a win it is, but that's irrelevant today. This is a game we have usually played close and won or lost late.

You can acknowledge that OSU and Michigan are the toughest games without crapping on the rest of the schedule. It must be a crappy fandom to go through a season whining about wins.

Yet they had 45 in their first three games when they weren’t playing Penn State, so how is that an Iowa problem and not a State d reason?
Cause that few first downs is what poll servers and anyone who makes their money in insurance is called an anomaly (sp)

What’s even more amusing is when a team like Georgia or Bama shuts down a ranked opponent, all we hear is how great their defense is and how they’re men playing against boys…but when PSU does it, it’s because the other team sucks. Is it so horrible to think that this defense might just be really good?

Great post, but absolutely dismantling a ranked conference opponent is a good win, no matter what.
