Crazy…..but when you have a 97-33 play advantage, have a 28-4 first down advantage, have a +4 turnover advantage, have a 397 to 76 yardage advantage, convert 4 of 4 fourth down plays and have possession for 45:27…..wouldn’t you think you’d win by more than 31 pts?

Not complaining…..just asking!

For the record, Iowa (imo) is a bad team. But so is Illini, thus my frustration with last week. We should have done this LAST week too. Water under the bridge. If you suck, I want to kill you. Got what I need this week and I am happy. Throw in a crapfest v NW, who is truly crappy, and I’m back with Bob
#11am. Figure it out coach.
Iowa will finish 8-4 or even 9-3.

Well, when you empty the bench again, with 10 minutes to go.....how many points do you want? Typically, when a team has been beaten down......the last quarter is where you pour it on. Franklin has taken the high road and also used early dominance to season young players and evaluate as well. In addition, while no one thought Iowa had a high flying offense, their defense was universally respected.

Not necessarily against a good defense.

Agree. Did Danielson really say at the beginning something like " ... and the only thing better than a Whiteout is Uowa winning it"? My son told me he said that during the opening minutes of the broadcast., but I didn't hear it.

Yes, he absolutely did.

I did hear that it was in reference to an interview he did with Ferentz, he was paraphrasing Ferentz about the only thing better than a whiteout is if they win the whiteout.

Might have been - I’ll double check.

Rewatching the game and the announcers so clearly rooting for Iowa. ********.
I usually don’t think announcers want one team or another to win and I think fans are often too sensitive about their perceived favoritism by announcer….but these two were obviously rooting for Iowa.

I went to the record store on Saturday afternoon so it was AC/DC and Led Zeppelin for me instead of these network clowns.

He hates us more than we hate ourselves.
