To make USFL/Area Football type football leagues more fun, what are some changes you'd suggest?

1. A FG from the 1-9 yard line equal 1 point, from the 10-19 YL equal 2 points and so on, max umber of points is 4.

2. Allow pass interference (offensive and defensive), to offset this remove the "pick play" penalty.

3. No more PATs. One offensive play would be given after a TD. Score from the 1-9 YL results in one point, and so on similar to FG rules.

Doesn't making shorter field goals worth fewer points penalize teams for having an offensive good enough to get close to the goal line?

Honestly, I can’t envision anything that would get my attention.

Agree. Sports leagues' true success are built on the idea of tribalism and/or the best players. Rule changes don't do that much when it comes to that. The only way to do that is to do goofy stuff like the Globetrotters or Savannah Bananas, which, while one show is funny, no one is going to watch a league of that garbage.

Heck, the NFL has done nothing but passed terrible rule changes the last 20 years and they continue to get better. People have to actually care about the teams, and in order to capture the attention of the people who don't - you have to be the best league available with the best players. Especially within the same country/continent.

Wasn’t there an indoor football league that Johnny Manziel played in for five minutes where people could send in play calls via social media or something?

Field goal makes in the NFL this year are actually down from the trend. That hot start to the season with field goals has eroded each week.
