You do have a point with that one. If they do stay in the Top 10 -- and I can't see why they'd drop since no one below them won -- then they would get that NY6 spot. I overlooked that important technicality.

Not unless Oklahoma or Ole Miss pass PSU. So no reason to think it could happen. If FSU didn’t make the Playoff, we are even more securely in.

Alabama almost lost to unranked Arkansas, Texas A&M, should have lost to unranked Auburn and did lose to Texas. Alabama getting into the playoff is because of Alabama's history.
