2:05 left. Everyone thinks a run is coming; you take a shot deep because the clock is stopping either way. Jump pass from DHenry tonight was a great call too.

I heard some of the analytics guys say last year that the Titans were the “luckiest” team in the NFL. Meaning that the Titans opponents were more likely to cause themselves harm at a higher rate than against an average opponent. So, think penalties, drops, etc. But, Vrabel’s teams had been in the top 3 “luckiest” teams every year he’s been a HC. They do a great job taking the other team out of their comfort zone and dictating the game.

I would think it would make sense that a guy with his football instincts and iq would be a great coach or at least be someone that understands in game adjustments and the pulse of the game. I can not remember a better instinctive defensive player than him from those great Patriot defenses not saying he did not have other great players around him.

Totally agree. He’s easily in the Top 3 in the NFL. Him having the Titans at 7-3 with what they have on hand is incredible. They basically have Derrick Henry, a good DL, and absolutely nothing else.

The 4th down playcall where Tannehill was in the gun, then stepped to the sideline to pretend he couldn’t understand what the coaches wanted and right at that exact second they snapped it to Henry in the wildcat was also very well thought out and executed.

Nobody respects the Titans because they’re a “boring” team in a small market. But they’ve won 7 out of 8 with the one loss being an OT defeat at KC with a backup quarterback. They are a gnat’s hair away from being 9-1. Vrabel should win NFL coach of the year if they keep it up.

It helps to play in that division but they are a good team. I don’t know that they can win it all without great QB play though.

Still feel like KC is the team to beat. I thought it was the Bills but they have screwed around and lost the edge in the race for homefield advantage, they actually are behind the Dolphins in their division now.
