On3 has released its transfer portal rankings, and at least four targets for NC State basketball are among the top players at their respective positions:

Jack Clark — No. 6 small forward

Clark entered the transfer portal after averaging 11.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game over three seasons at La Salle. Clark (6-foot-8, 200 pounds) redshirted his season season and should have two years of eligibility remaining. He made an official visit to NC State basketball this past weekend.

This past year, Clark, a 6-foot-8, 200-pounder from Cheltenham, Pa., contributed 12.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.

Jarkel Joiner — No. 9 shooting guard

The Oxford, Miss., native returned home to play at Ole Miss for two seasons after beginning his career at Cal State Bakersfield. He was first team All-WAC at Cal State-Bakersfield before transferring to play in the SEC.

He was the Rebels’ leading scorer last year, averaging 13.2 points per game and is considered a strong defender in the backcourt. Joiner averaged 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game along with 2.3 assists.

Former Ole Miss assistant Levi Watkins now in Raleigh, is leading Joiner’s recruitment.

Kenneth Lofton, Jr. — No. 2 power forward

The 6-foot-7, 275-pound sophomore from Port Arthur, Texas averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game last season while playing 27.0 minutes per contest for a good Louisiana Tech team that went 24-10 and reached the finals of the Conference USA Tournament.

Lofton had 36 points and 17 rebounds when NC State defeated Louisiana Tech, 90-81.

NC State basketball is one of a long list of programs that have reached out to Lofton, who also put his name into the NBA Draft process.

Landers Nolley II —No. 7 small forward

Nolley may sound familiar to NC State basketball fans. He had a stellar freshman season at Virginia Tech, averaging 15.5 points per game in 2019-20, while adding 5.8 rebounds per contest. During that season, Nolley dropped in 29 points along with seven rebounds in a Hokies win over NC State in Blacksburg, Va.

After one season at Virginia Tech, Nolley decided to transfer and considered NC State as an option, but ultimately decided on Memphis. He had averages of 13.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in his Tigers debut season, and then contributed 9.8 points and 3.9 rebounds this past season.

The 6-foot-7, 210-pounder should have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Nolley has made official visits to NC State and Texas A&M.

Cam Spencer — No. 13 shooting guard

Spencer enters the transfer portal after a big scoring season for Loyola, averaging 18.9 points per game.  The 6-foot-4, 207-pound junior from Davidsonville, Md., also averaged 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals per contest.

In a season-opening loss at UNC, Spencer had 15 points.

Spencer has a reputation of a good shooter. He made 59 threes this past season, although his percentage slipped to 35.3 percent. He also connected on 91 of 106 free throws (85.8 percent).

In 2020-21, Spencer made 41 threes and shot 43.6 percent from long range.

NC State is among the lengthy list of schools to reach out to Spencer. Minnesota and Loyola Chicago are two programs known to be strongly in the mix.
