Final: Liverpool 2, Arsenal 2

The Reds controlled play much of the second half and came close to getting the winner in stoppage time. Still, I’ll happily take the draw.

I do not agree with Arteta sitting back in the 2nd half. I can go into a deep dive, but It almost cost them all 3. The midfield was complete trash, today. We needed Gilberto Silva. Someone who can put their foot on the throat of the flow and completely control it. Pool bossed it and prob should have scored a 3rd. They shouldn't even have scored a 2nd. I don't like what I saw. Xhaka, Partey and Ode need a come to Jesus. Title race has always been on, but now everyone knows it.

With this weekend’s results, Fivethirtyeight has MC with a 58% chance at the title, and Arsenal with a 42% chance. I still think Arsenal wins the EPL if they can beat or tie MC in late April.

A draw certainly keeps them at the top, but City seems to have hit a different gear as most expected. The Newcastle/Arsenal game will also have a say on who ends up on top between City/Aresenal. Great to see a good race at the top and bottom....good season thus far overall in the EPL.

Man United stunned by 2 late own goals as Sevilla draw 2-2 in Europa League 1st leg

o_O

The draw sucked, but that game ended any real chance of anymore trophies for MU this season. I also think it paved the way for the Spurs to take over the top 4 when it is all said and done.

The butcher aka Lisandro Martinez went down with a non contact injury and had to be carried off. My guess is possibly an Achilles as he was cutting and simply went down and you could see it in his face that he knew. Varane the other Center back went down with a non contact injury and finished up the half but didn't come back on so he'll he out for a while too to go along with Rashford being out 2-3 weeks. Bruno got a yellow which was total BS....guy ripped a shot outside the box from a yard away as Bruno was turning, hit his elbow and he had zero shot of getting out of the way. It was a handball, but certainly not a yellow. So he is also now out for the return leg to Sevilla. Yesterday was brutal and the 2 own goals for a team that basically had no shots on target was a killer.

Tottenham 1-1 Bournemouth at 41’. Spurs just made a high school turnover, cost them.

Wow, Tottenham 1-2 Bournemouth at 53’. The Spurs player made a perfect pass to Bournemouth in the six-yard box. He’ll have to move.

They tie it up and spit the bit in extra time. First time Bournemouth has beaten Tottenham at Tottenham stadium. JFC is all I can say. What a mess

Bad loss. Great fun for anyone not a Spurs fan, great drama. Two gift goals to Bournemouth, and Richarlson’s miss, wow, that was just bad. Tottenham 2-3 Bournemouth, full-time. Winning goal was at 90+5’.

It looks to be a long day for Leicester City at Manchester City. Haaland just made it 2-0, Manchester City, in the 13th minute on a penalty kick.

On a side note, Jack Grealish is very good, but he looks like such a dick with that little headband thingy.

Arsenal are turrible. Up on West Ham, 2-1. Saka misses a penalty kick that would have put the Gunners up two. Moments later West Ham get the equalizer. 2-2 in the 56th minute.

Arsenal may look back at this match with horror when all is said and done.

Leeds vs. Liverpool. 2pm. I know we have a few Liverpool fans here, but man does Leeds need at least a point here. The relegation battle this year is on par with the Arsenal vs. City battle at the top. The beauty of the EPL is that the relegation battles are just as intriguing unless you're in them....then you're stomach is in knots.

Arsenal are not dead. 3-3, entering stoppage time. The Gunners with two goals in the final minutes of regulation. Saka with the tying goal at the 90’ mark.

Eight minutes of stoppage time.

Final: Arsenal 3, Southampton 3

Exciting finish. Great comeback by Arsenal, but it’s a match they should have won.

Dropping 9 in the box strategy didn’t work out for Southampton when they went up 3-1 at 75m.
City two games in hand over Arsenal with separation at 5 now with a head to head coming Wednesday…
