Guy is flat out nasty. If you could take any young arm, he’d be the choice of many.
Great effort by both pitchers. Their stat lines were almost identical with the one exception being zero walks for Nola and three for Alcantara. His walk to Hoskins resulted in the tying run in the bottom of the eighth. Those freebies have a tendency to come back and bite you. As the saying goes, there's no defense for a walk. It's also four starts in a row for Nola in which he hasn't walked anyone. His season WHIP is now 0.88.Gritty effort by Nola too. He had to battle and he did.
