How much do they try to lose while upholding the integrity of the game?

They’re not playing any of the big guys today. Phillies will rest whoever needs it before Friday.

Since losing will not affect another team making/missing the playoffs, my feeling is that trying to lose does not F with the integrity of the game.

Stay in the third spot, whatever it takes. Mets/Bravos are poison. St Louis is nothing special. Easy decision.

Can you imagine the Braves overtaking the Mets and winning the division? On top of that the Phillies sweep the Mets in a best of 3 at Citi Field? In that scenario there would be extra security on duty at the George Washington Bridge.

Sounds like a continuation of the catching techniques of Skip Clayton. Any time there was a foul ball hit into the press box, you could count on Richie Ashburn or Harry Kalas to say, "yep, you guessed it, another error on The Lane." Skip "Memory Lane" Clayton passed away in Dec. 2021.

Is anyone else getting Spanish language broadcast ? My Xfinity has two ABC options and both are Spanish for me and the internet ESPN option. Is the English version on the internet ESPN or is this something local to my tv?

I had it on my local ABC channel and then lost the broadcast. I switched to ESPN3, which is apparently the Spanish broadcast.

It should have two options. When I loaded mine it gave me the option for English or Spanish.

I thought the guy before him should've been rung up on that 3-2 pitch that hit the top corner of the strike zone. He's been calling pitches in that exact spot strikes today... need to get the bats rolling.

I had a feeling it was on my end and a friend told me to check my SAP. I didn’t intentionally change it but maybe the dogs sat on the remote…
