imagine that if only he had some stones and foresight he could have been (with work) the primary guy this year at a school in Pennsylvania
In reality, how do you beat a team with their 4th or 5th best receiver? Julian is an excellent blocker, good teammate and a decent WR. He has had more than his share of injuries (shoulder is a forever issue) and drops.
Buckeyes must process around 25 players. I wonder if he wasn't offered his covid year. Fleming is one of many who was "victimized" by a five star label. Small school, run first, 1.5 years older than the average high school senior. He'll be 23 next week.
His size, speed and good attitude and special teams experience and skills will get him a look as a FA somewhere.
He isn't the answer to breaking games open at PSU.

With the news of McCord and Flemming transferring out of Ohio State, I can't help but be reminded of a quote from a younger Kyle McCord while at SJP. He said, and I quote, "The best in PA play for Ohio State." I guess they also transfer out of Ohio State as well!?!?

Ironic since McCord is from NJ.

Some really enterprising person should rent a huge coliseum, then have all teams looking for players set up a booth. Invite all the players in the portal, and run a giant portal player flea market. Coaches can make outlandish promises regarding starting or playing time, and negotiate NIL deals. I can’t believe Fairgambit hasn’t set this deal up yet.

I hope he ends up at Rice.

He's not at the top of my list of portal WRs, but if he's good enough to be a starting WR for Penn State in 2024, you take him regardless of where he sat on OSU's depth chart.

So you hope to beat OSU with a player that was never better than their 3rd best wide receiver? Who is now 23+ years old and has a chronic shoulder injury. Makes perfect sense. 4 years 79 catches. Yep, that's what PSU needs.

You serious clark?

If he can help the team, of course I want him. Our wideout room needs help, they lacked speed and strength, had trouble getting off the line in press, and had trouble getting open against both man and zone. Where Fleming was on their depth chart is irrelevant. OSU has consistently had high-end NFL talent up and down their WR roster, we don't. If Fleming is in our top3, he helps the team.
