Sadly:
dolphins 40
birds 24
I think people are getting carried away with the Dolphins. They are not scoring 40 points on the Eagles. The beat up on the bad teams, but not so much against half decent defenses. They scored 20 vs Buffalo and 24 vs NE. I don't see them getting more than 30, which is what they scored against NYG. I think the betting lines are pretty tight on this game, so 27-24 (Eagles) feels about right.

Hurts was really bad Sunday. His third interception, the one in the 4th, I was shocked to see a NFL quarterback throwing such a pass. I have no reason to think he won’t bounce back but, boy, he was plain awful against the Jets.
The loss of Lane Johnson was a huge impact. Hurts was getting pressured and did not look comfortable in the pocket as the game progresses.

Oh. the Hurts-Tua connection had never entered my head til now. These guys are total professionals, all respect. I’ll be rooting for Hurts, of course.

Put my money where my mouth is and bet the eagles at -2.5. My only other eagles bet this season was vs rams, so let's hope for similar results.

I have to hand it to the Eagles. They have drafted well and figured out that the best college football players are in the SEC.

Grant, you’re a genius. How’d you arrive at taking the Eagles -3?
Ha, definitely not a genius. Over the long haul, I'm lucky to be right 54% of the time.
Betting is like the stock market, buy low and sell high and Miami was getting way too high (and maybe a little dip on the Birds after losing to the Jets). Several other factors - Sunday night in Philly in Kelly green (extra HFA), Miami starting center out against a nasty defense ( do some of the Georgia defenders remember losing to Tua?), Miami with top two CBs out, saw the market was liking the Eagles as line was moving in their favor.
Oh, and not to nit pick, but I got a -2.5, which has way more value than -3.

Byard was born on August 17, 1993, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After his parents divorced at the age of 14, Byard moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his mother and siblings.[3] He attended Martin Luther King, Jr. High School in Lithonia, Georgia. In high school, he participated in football and track.[4]

According to multiple reports, Philadelphia is acquiring two-time All-Pro safety Kevin Byard for safety Terrell Edmunds and 2024 fifth-round and sixth-round picks.
