Who are they trotting out for the bottom of the ninth? At least the Padres top of order was last inning.yeah of little faith.

Phillies win. I knew Alvarado had it all the way! And by the way it’s “ye of little faith” not “yeah”! 🫵
Bummer on the timing.
No doubt about that. Hopefully all goes well for him and his wife. Not A bummer for him !!
Castellanos has seen 4 pitches tonight resulting in 6 outs. That almost seems impossible.
All season long.yeah, he was a double play machine tonight. smh
Today was important with how well the Cubs are playing. I keep seeing Milwaukee as their true wild card competition. I think Chicago is going to storm back and take that division.
The Phils would win a tie-breaker with the Cubs, but not the Brewers. We need those 3 games at CBP. A little good news tonight as the D-Backs beat the Cubs, now 3 up in the loss column.Today was important with how well the Cubs are playing. The whole bullpen has been a disaster lately. Do you trust anyone right now heading into late September?Seranthony sucks for the last few games

There was no need to take Sanchez out at that point in the game. Topper overthinking it
Or not thinking at all. Probably following a formula from analytics. There was no need to take Sanchez out at that point in the game. Topper overthinking it
Too many young pitchers have been ruined by too much work early on. While this season is important and the game was as well, you also have to look a couple of years down the road.It didn't work out for the Fightins, but I wouldn't argue with Topper's move. Sanchez was at 82 pitches. He had faced 20 batters. This season he's averaged 21 batters faced per game. They seem to be careful about not having him throw too many pitches in his starts.
Not a bad day … I watched PSU this afternoon and I’m at CBP for tonight’s game. Here’s hoping the good Aaron is on the mound for the Fightins.

While homegrown, Nola just hasn’t developed that next step to become a top-tier, dependable starter. For the money he wants, it’s best to let him leave. They can do better or at least pay a lot less for similar production.Nola has one bad inning every time he pitches. It’s like clockwork, you just aren’t sure which inning it will be. I don’t get it.
