Yes, I have shopped in 5 and dime stores in downtown Columbia. That wasn’t my question. Is a queen at a 5 and dime store a gay or trans male? Does it refer to a white trash woman?
What’s wrong with a 5 and dime store? Since I have shopped at a 5 and dime store, does that make me trash? Is the dime store queen concept from a song?
I don’t associate shopping at a 5 and dime store with lack of taste nor from a small town. I don’t shop at Dollar Tree, Dollar Store, etc. because I have other choices. Should I infer that anyone who shops there are beneath me? Trash? Why these pejoratives?
Why was the dime store queen label given to that person?
Urban dictionary is helpful in situations like this. Might I be so bold as to make an updated suggestion or two to replace dime store queen?

I could see Va Tech bc it’s the matchup of the two final four teams who lost out on going to the natty.
I would like that also. We are 15-6 vs Va. Tech but have not played them since 1991.
I was a bit surprised to see UF make the short list. But Cambridge family is VERY familiar with the SEC, brother Devan played at Auburn, sister Jordyn played at Vandy and another sister Kennedy played at UK before transferring to Ohio st.

I was wondering when the U19 team would start camp or if they were already there. Had no idea taters were still pitching her and that she might be listening.
Amanda Butler is a quite capable coach especially on D, who did not recruit well enough at UF. She has recruited better than the previous 3 coaches but out the 6 top 100 recruits she has signed 5 left before their junior year. The 6th, Ruby Whitehorn is a sophomore this year.

We need her and She is already playing at a college level. She could reclassify and not miss a beat.
I’ve wondered about her reclassifying but I could see another goal of hers being graduating top 10 in her class which she currently is. I was also surprised she is eyeing a Dec announcement as most will announce no later than Nov. she knows that everyone will hold a spot for her though

Not working today, so I went down the rabbit hole on in state recruiting.
Over the past 14 years we have offered 11 in state players that were top 100 recruits. We also offered Elysa Wesolek. We had instate walkons India Farmer and Olivia Thompson

She was offered as a 7th grader but we backed off and stopped recruiting her long before her junior year. In the twisted vernacular of college recruiting it was a “non committable offer” or something to that effect.
Her recruitment was umm……shall we say chaotic. Her father, Derrick was her HS coach. Derrick was a 4 year starter at Wake Forest. If I remember it appeared she was all set to go to Wake but there was a dust up of some sort and WF stopped recruiting her or she stopped wanting to go there. She then committed to UNC. She then decommitted and signed with Ga Tech.
At Tech she started 21 games as a Fr. and averaged right at 9ppg. She quit the team 6 games into her Sophomore season and was a mid year transfer to Bama where she played in every game last season and scored 6.7 ppg. She will be a senior this year.

Per volnation they have known for quite some time that she had no interest but they were still holding out hope. I haven’t really read an exact reason.

A good story on Jah. Sounds like Amihere II with her ability to play any position. She scored 20 of her teams 60 points in their win of the high school National Championship. How in the heck is she ranked #40? Appears to be a steal to me. Look forward to seeing her on the court.

Why freshman forward Sahnya Jah could do ‘great things’ with South Carolina WBB
“She’s not a prima donna. She’s not a kid that’s ‘Woe is me.’ She wins every down-and-back. She just competes.”
She is a 3/4 who is not as positionally versatile as Amihere. She is typical of a portion of DS’s recruits. Incredibly athletic with some BB skills that need refining. Her athleticism means floor time because she can rebound and defend her position. Her transfer and talented teammates meant she got a bit lost in the rankings game. I realize she's a 3/4. I guess I overstated her "versatility" a bit when her coach mentioned she has guarded positions 1-5 and not actually playing all 5 positions. You are right....she is incredibly athletic.

I've been watching highlights of Jaloni Cambridge and comparing her to Fulwiley. Fulwiley looks like the better shooter and dribbler. Anyone else agree? or disagree? I don't understand why ESPN Gurlz Hoops has her (Fulwiley) rated as the 3rd best PG in her class. She is clearly the best PG in her 2023 class.

Fulwiley at one point was ranked #2 by HoopGurlz. The next cycle she was dropped to twenty something with some real dodgy rationale. I think her final ranking was too low.
She has a ton of flash and swagger in her game. Sometimes that is not appreciated by evaluators. The deal for me is, she can show the flash because her handle and fundamentals are almost flawless.
Blanca had a bad AAU cycle. According to some folks I respect on the circuit, her size and strength are unquestioned. Her athleticism and desire to dominate took a beating from more athletic and determined competition
A lot of SEC players on this team. There does seem to exist a sense of conference comradrey among the players. The LSU players really didn't care for the way Caitlin Clark disrespected Raven.
I'm familiar with most of these players, but I'm not 100% sure who's the other PG on this team.

Chance Gray played PG at Oregon. Charisma Osbourne played some pg at UCLA but a scorer more than a distributor. Deja Kelly, who was not invited to the original tryouts was brought in for the second round. Played pg but again primarily a scorer not distributor.
Morrow not making the team supports my thesis, that while she has been a prolific scorer at DePaul…. She is a black hole with the ball, an inefficient scorer, an undersized PF and lacking the outside game to play SF.
I know I am beating a dead horse to say these things but the Americup coaches chose much lesser names and stats over her for the roster
I’m all of sudden feeling McDaniel might be good enough to take and not wait on Cambridge. How about you?

There is an interesting exchange on jalonis top 7 Instagram post between Ava Watson and her sis Kennedy who are both committed to Ohio St where they appear to be rooting for Jaloni to go to SC. Who knows what it really means but I found it interesting. Also I would assume Ava would not want Jaloni at Ohio st bc they are both listed as point guards. I think they both play for same AAU team so maybe they switch between the 1 and 2.
