@DarkCock

I just love your stats and analytics!! I know it’s still early, but what’s the comparison on pts allowed per possession
Opponents points per scoring attempt so far this year is .79

Last year it was .79

I imagine that number will come down over the next few weeks. Notre Dame and Maryland have some defensive flaws, but both can score.

Post game press conference nuggets from other teams

Geno: “We just got a shi_ _y attitude about rebounding…… It needs to change because I don’t think we will be getting any taller.”

Bueckers’ attitude in the presser was just totally disengaged almost to the point of disrespect.

Meanwhile at LSU

Mikayla Williams was asked if the game was starting to slow down, she laughed and then said, “It’s still fast, but as soon as I get in shape it will slow down.”

Excuse Me? Get in shape??? WTF???

Brenda Frese from Maryland
“Yeah, they’re better than last year.”

Courtney Banghardt after UNC pulled a last second victory over Davidson

“I’m extremely disappointed in our defense, not great effort……. We had a great scouting report on what they do and we just didn’t pay attention to it”

The most common phrase about the 2023-24 Gamecocks' WBB was that they would have "growing pains." Me included except I think I used "develop team chemistry" and "understand their roles."

Despite playing pretty good teams, we have not faced much adversity yet. So, I don't want to get ahead of myself, Nevertheless, we could be a decent team when those growing pains go away! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Well, we are back to #1 in the power rankings. Guessing we will be at least 2 or possibly 1 in the polls due out later.

LSU and UConn shouldn't be anywhere near anybody's top 10 power ranking. They lost by double digits by teams they were heavily favored in and have no good wins to offset it.

Been surprised at Tamari Key’s slow recovery, blood in the lungs is damn serious. Also surprised at how little Destinee Wells has played.
Key is out of shape and a long way away from contributing based on tonight.

Wells is 2 of 10 on the season from the field and absolutely terrible on defense. She can't keep anyone in front of her.

The Vols bench isn't as strong as many thought coming into the season.

We are 9 days into the season and there is massive rethinking on my part and ESPN’s.

UT is maybe, maybe a top 25 team and is going to have another 10 loss season. Rickea and Jewel are for real but the rest of the squad is slow, doesn’t defend, and has more turnovers than assists. They have two absolutely brutal stretches of games. After their next game at Troy they have Indiana and Ok. for neutral site games. Then ND and Ohio St at home. They close the season USC h, Vandy h, LSU h, A&M h, USC a. They play us and A&M twice.

Speaking of A&M, LSU has more talent, BUT Aggies have more than enough talent to compete, have size, play D and are a more cohesive unit. Aggies beat LSU but LSU finishes second.

Main thing I see here is we get brutal bracket with Stanford, UConn and Indiana but then there is no way they put UCLA and USC as a #1 & #2 seed in same bracket. Yes, still early but putting those two together is not likely to happen.

LSU just blowing out Kent St at the half….

39-37🤣🤣🤣 it’s on SEC+
Second half correction - Kim back to letting her starters play way deep in the game again with Angel sitting quite a bit (message being sent against a mid-major?)

for funsies...go to the LSU board and read their game threads sometime - truly hilarious. Their moderator and posters are all SUPER excited about whooping up on bottom tier talent. As if these games reveal anything at all about the team except that they can beat up on and blow-out the little sisters of the poor, all the while looking classless doing it. Yeah, I get they're all excited about their program and current success, but jeeesh . True perspective or critical analysis is no where to be found with that bunch.
