Reported earlier by her HS coach that she would require surgery. Wonder if she's had it already or if it will be done here?
I saw surprised to see this pic of her, which I assume was taken on the 31st.

She looks fairly normal there. Of course, she could still require surgery. I just thought she would be wearing a brace, at the very least. Hopefully a good sign.

this was a quote from her coach shortly after her injury "South Grand Prairie coach Brion Raven said Thursday that five-star center Adhel Tac will miss the rest of her senior year after suffering a knee injury against Little Elm on Nov. 10. It’s not an ACL or MCL injury, but the South Carolina signee will still require surgery, Raven said". The article in the state said she dislocated her kneecap and tore her medial patellofemoral ligament. If she had surgery already, I would expect her to be in some sort of brace.

Maybe??????

With knees Quite frequently athletes will do an intensive pre-hab weightlifting program to increase strength and mass before surgery. It reduces strength and muscle mass loss making rehab shorter. This has been standard operating procedure with our women’s soccer program for over 5 years

I wonder if Amihere on staff played a part. No one understands this as much as she does.

Adhel has already had her surgery and is a month into rehab. She dislocated her knee cap which slightly tore a patella in the kneecap. It was a fairly routine surgery and the rehab time is 4 to 8 weeks. Because of the short length of high school seasons, she would miss the bulk of the year thus she was not going to participate. Given her situation, she decided to go ahead and come to college and be under the care and rehab of our doctors. This allows her to get the best care and a way more in-depth rehab situation. This is a minor injury and it will allow her to get ahead on weight lifting and nutrition of a college program. She will redshirt but be further along, and is expected to be able to participate in post season conditioning and summer workouts.

UConn’s Aubrey Griffin twisted her knee in their game against Creighton Wednesday night. initial reports are not good. May be another season-ender for that program.

So the same guy who didn’t vote us #1 last season did it again this week. SMH

I'm not a fan of that guy. He didn't vote us #1 last year and he tried to use the backlash he knew he would receive to promote a book he was selling on Twitter.

Like her or not, this Clark girl is pretty darn gifted. Step-back 3 pointer from the midcourt logo for a game winner. Who else in all of basketball can do that? Maybe 10 peeps, and nine are male?

generational scorer but her on court antics, particularly her penchant for expecting/begging/scowling at refs for foul calls after any contested shot make it hard for me to root for her

She took 34 shots and Iowa still needed a mid-court shot to beat unranked Michigan St at home. Not a good sign for the Hawkeyes.

Best SEC games tonight not involving Carolina:

Texas A&M @ Georgia
Ole Miss @ Bama

I lean toward the home teams. A&M is particularly interesting. They have talent, but lost to the only decent team they played so far ( Purdue). UGA will have plenty of motivation against their old coach.

Can’t make this kind of stuff up…… It’s Dress Like Mulkey Night for LSU home opener vs Mizzou.

Rumor has it @KingWard has an outfit and front row tickets💃🏼
I can reliability dispel that report. 🤣

Well, they lost a few last year before making it to the final game. They are a snake that will need absolute killing. As for that last shot Clark made, it looked like she had one foot on the logo. She was way back there.

Somebody give us a scouting report on Florida. I always feel better about our chances after reading those ;)

Both games should be rock fights. First one to 60 wins

Personally, I like the matchup for us. Make no mistake, though, Aliyah Matharu is a heck of a player. 2nd leading scorer in the conference. However, I like it when the opposing team's best offensive player is their point guard. Raven is a very good defender; she'll make Matharu work on both ends of the court. Raven doesn't need to shut her down, just keep her in check. Without us double teaming Matharu, who else on Florida is going to score for them in the half-court?

For Florida to win they will need to stay reasonably close on the boards and then score points in transition off turnovers. We did a good job taking care of the ball against an aggressive ECU defense. Hopefully we continue that play tonight.

That's the reason she recruited Chloe, trying to get away from what has been said and known for a long time.
We recruited Chloe because she can play. No coach is trying to lose. So, the notion of recruiting only Black players and White players in this win now landscape where you get paid well if you win and get fired if you lose doesn't make sense. If you gave Coach Staley a team of Cameron Brink, Paige Buekers, Caitlin Clark, etc, I think she would take that every day of the week and twice on Sunday. However, we don't take just anyone over here to satisfy a segment of the fanbase's need to feel comfortable with the racial makeup of our ballclub. We are trying to win over here and I am sure the best players will play as long as Coach Staley is here.

Great shooting night. 50-40-87 is terrific.

Player of the game was Raven Johnson. We were +34 with her on the court. She pushed the pace while only turning the ball over once.

Paopao and Fulwiley played well too, but 8 turnovers between them made them less effective than Raven.

Cardoso and Watkins dominated inside, especially on defense. Bree continues to play at a high level.

Matharu was 3-18 shooting. 🫨

No one is rooting harder for Feagin than me, but she's got to cut down on the turnovers. Dawn benched her in the 2nd half.

And almost flawless performance overall, save the 18 turnovers.

I noticed that. They only used one bench player in the first half and morrow, Reese and Johnson all played atleast 38 min. I can’t imagine bench players will be happy if this is a trend for the rest of the season.

If our ladies push the tempo against LSU like they did against Florida, LSU will be sucking wind by the third quarter.

Thought y’all would find this comical …

This is from a poster on a Tenn board.

Until I watch Vanderbilt later tonight, my pick for last place in the SEC is Florida.

One thing I noticed for the first 4 to 5 minutes they were beating SC pretty handily on the boards but couldn’t make a layup.

This years South Carolina is not nearly as dominant as last years SC.

They will lose multiple SEC games but will contend for the #1 seed and be the favorite to win the SEC.

I sometimes check the Ladies Vol board and I’m familiar with that person’s comments. Either the greatest over the top pro Vol troll ever or an insane person that’s allowed internet access at the asylum. I go back and forth
