You get those type of matchups in HS tournaments this time of year. Watched Talaysia Cooper go up against Fulwiley in a similar tournament a couple years ago. Saw then that Cooper was a nice player, but Fulwiley was on another level. Clearly outplayed Cooper as an 11th Grader.I wish there was a way to watch online. That is a primo matchup.
I wonder if we're still recruiting Strong hard? Tac at Center, Edwards at PF and Strong at SF/W would be a powerful front court.....Strong being able to shoot the 3's like she did tonight makes the argument that there is room for both her and Joyce on the floor together.
I would love, love I say to have Strong in Columbia! I just don’t see her coming here with our stacked front court. We have 6 players who play the 4&5 on the roster for next season. This is with Cardoso going to the draft and no one entering the portal. If she came here it’s an all star front court with limited minutes. Anywhere else she starts, plays 25-30 minutes a game and is a star from day one.Well our whole staff was there including half of the team. That could have all been for Joyce but maybe it was for both. Supposedly there was a UConn asst coach there as well.
Good fit for her. They play uptempo, full court basketball. What is the allure of Ohio State in WBB?? Seems like a dead end
Watkins and Chloe are just sophomores.By the time Edwards, Tac, and possibly (wishful thinking) Strong get here, the front court we have will be Seniors....Nope, we need Strong.
In the end she may choose UCONN but I'm still banking on her mom wanting her to play for Dawn. It would be awful to see her choose LSU or UNC.
LSU is really striking out pretty bad. Unless Sarah Strong commits, this would be embarrassing given how much their main recruiter was gloating about his recruiting skills. So glad it wasn’t LSU![]()
Agreed. She was having a 1st team All-American season. Best 2 way guard in the country. This is just a shame. And I mean that sincerely. She is a good player on a good team. Wanted to see more of her this year.
Only negative was free throw shooting. It was atrocious.Convincing 73-36 win against East Carolina on the Pirates' home floor, to shake off the holiday dust/rust (which looks very sparkly and fairy-dusty, by the way) and get the season started back up. The Gamecocks improved to 12-0. Cardoso and Fulwiley led a balanced scoring with 12 pts each: Kamilla added 10 rebounds, and Milaysia added 9 boards of her own. Conference play kicks off next Thursday at Florida in Gainesville.....
So they will be Juniors...Feagin, Cordosa, Walker will be gone...I go back to what I originally said...we NEED Strong to go along with Tac and Edwards.Watkins and Chloe are just sophomores.
I'm sure we're recruiting her, but as @winloseortie pointed out, it doesn't make much sense for her. A lot of 3's can shoot from the perimeter. What makes her special is she can do it so well from the 4.So they will be Juniors...Feagin, Cordosa, Walker will be gone...I go back to what I originally said...we NEED Strong to go along with Tac and Edwards.
On the Tarheel board, they we're all in an uproar as Dawn and the team showed for the big game between Edwards and Strong. No UNC coach showed up. Some were even saying it's due to them showing up just for Edwards, WRONG!!! It was for Strong also.
In the State newspaper, it was mentioned that Joyce is recruiting Sarah to come to Carolina. Joyce wants her here too.
I hope Dawn and the coaches show up in Raleigh for Sarah's games this season.
Which part of them blowing out a 2-9 team currently ranked 275 in the NET screams playing chess. ECU who we played today is 69 in the NET rankings, which would be LSU's 3rd highest rated opponent on their non conference schedule had they play them. The team still managed to beat ECU by a similar margin that LSU did to Jacksonville an objectively way worse team.LSU is going to kill us. That redneck coach of theirs is brilliant. She set this whole “world against us” with the early season drama, and it looks like the team is gelling. They will be a juggernaut. She may be a dime store queen according to some weirdos on here, but she is playing chess.

Sakima Walker has already stated she is coming back for next year. In fact she said that when she signed with us. Feagin will also be back. Only Cardoso graduates this yearSo they will be Juniors...Feagin, Cordosa, Walker will be gone...I go back to what I originally said...we NEED Strong to go along with Tac and Edwards.

Upper deck, first come, first serveSorry to sound goofy, but I don't know. If you purchase General Admission seats, is that standing room only?
Also her sister, Kennedy is on the OSU team. She left Kentucky after her freshman year and is redshirting this season I do believeGood fit for her. They play uptempo, full court basketball.

re: LSU box scores : KM also presses & plays her starters deep into games against inferior competition to pad stats & score. Up almost 50 last night against Jacksonville, Reese, Morrow, Williams, & HVL were all playing well into the 4th quarter. Juxtapose that with SC against E Carolina; Cardoso, Hall, Paopao all sat the entire 4th, which is normally the case in SC blowoutsLSU has played only 3 power 5 teams, with one being a loss and another by 3 points to a less than stellar Virginia team. The rest have been cupcakes of all cupcakes. Try doing a little more than just looking at the box scores my friend.
No team will "kill" us this year. The team that concerns me most, however, is UCLA. They match our height and seem to be relatively deep. Watched them vs So. Cal last night and should have blown them out. They built up large leads at the beginning of both halves but were never able to put them away. Conditioning appeared to be an issue to me but I am not familiar enough with their program to say that definitively.LSU is going to kill us. That redneck coach of theirs is brilliant.
