No, they aren't. But Her Hoop Stats' bracket has many similarities to his. Based on previous committee reveals, there are only so many possibilities, for us anyway. Ohio State has the weakest #2 resume besides LSU and they won't put us and the Tigers in the same regional. I also think either Indiana or Oklahoma is a good bet for the 8th seed.

* Bree scored 5 points in two consecutive possessions before all the controversy. HUGE buckets. It's seldom pointed out that Mikayla Williams actually has a worse defensive rating than HVL. She's kind of beefy (So am I. Not judging.). She has a difficult time getting around screens. Of course, Breezy still had to make the shots from distance and she did.
* Paopao wasn't ejected because she was at the scorer's table to check-in. She was there at 2:37, meaning had there been a stoppage of play before the scuffle, Fulwiley wouldn't have been on the floor to steal the ball. Dawn can't help herself. Let Milaysia ball! She was feeling it. Now, I don't have a problem with Paopao coming in with a minute left to play because she's one of our better free-throw shooters. She is also less likely to foul than Fulwiley.
* Some solid minutes from Feagin yesterday. She didn't stuff the stat sheet, but she helped keep Reese reasonably in check when Cardoso was off the court. I believe we finished +3 with Sania on the floor. Most important was her box out of Reese with a minute left to play and LSU down 5. Reese's foul on Feagin ended any hopes the Tigers could come back.

The more Fulwiley plays the more comfortable she will become with the college game and therefore the more impact she will have in helping the Gamecocks win. When a player is hot, do not take them off the court. As a former star herself, Dawn knows this. I wonder if Paopao's decision to return next year has any impact on Fulwiley playing time.

I hope the AD is preparing a video of all of these egregious attempts by AR to injure or get a negative reaction from Cardoso in hopes of getting her disqualified and send it directly to Sankey. She is just a nasty player and there is no place for people like her in college basketball!!!
Walking on the court is one thing but climbing over the official scorer's table and injuring one of those officials to get to the court is a different story and warrants arrest. Failure to arrest sets a precedent for future offenders. There's too much bad@$$ playground mentality being evidenced in WBB at the collegiate level and it's bound to trickle down to the high school level if it goes unchecked. Probably already has.
It was quite visible in last year's Final Four. Reese and Clark were the principal exponents of that behavior. That was the week I really began to despise Clark, and it was about her demeanor as well as her flagrant flopping. I had already adopted that mindset regarding Reese.
It's time for WBB to move away from it. If there's a will, there's certainly a way.

Good luck with that. The players that play with an edge usually end up being the popular players with the kids. So, you are probably going to have to deal with it to a degree. We can't play like we are so much better than LSU. Milaysia gives the "Too Small" gesture. Ashlyn's taunts is kind of what started the fight yesterday. We have to be like what Coach Staley. Accept our part in it, Apologize and move on. That is all you can do. The players grow up wanting to do what they see the professional guys do. I know many of you don't like the professional game. However, that's what the players gravitate to and that's what they want to be like in many respects.
Where there's a will. They rolled back dancing and taunting in college football and they can put the brakes on a lot of this junk also.
So true about Mikayla Williams and she is a shot chucker. Actually, I was kind of disappointed that she was coming off injury and on a minutes restriction. She breaks off what LSU tried to do all the time in that first game and continued to chuck up bad shots in the first game. They need to play through Morrow more, but it's not my team. I am glad when the opponent's game plan is not what it should be.
