Dawn’s response has me thinking maybe 3 to come?
I wonder if they are only portal or some 2024s as well. I feel strongly that Celeste Taylor is coming. She made it clear that she wasn't leaving Duke a few weeks ago but as soon as Coach Gandy leaves she instantly enters the portal.

I believed she visited Miami as well. With her former Crestwood teammate Lattimore. If he was the one that recruited her, that could be our way into more Canadian prospects.
Basically since Amihere almost all the highly touted recruits from Canada have been from Crestwood. Including a rising star in Toby Fournier, that I would love to see in Garnet.
Looks like she went through some depression and left Rutgers to go to a Juco in Florida. Was originally the 7th rank post in her class and #63 overall. Makes sense for the need we have of a back up post. Others would probably want more playing time
Interesting stats, I kind of like it. She'll have 2 more years of eligibility left. The right development and she could be a solid piece.

I haven't seen her play, but from what I can tell I like the fit.
In Walker's evaluations, she is described as a "rim runner." That is also a description that applies to Cardoso. I think the direction of the team is to play more uptempo, as we have discussed in this thread previously.

I just watched the first half of the NJCAA championship on the ESPN app and it's an accurate description. She finishes at the hoop really well and can run down the floor with the guards in transition. She's patient on defense as well and can play with some physicality. She looks like a perfect fit.
My only question is how well can she do this with players her size or bigger?
A fun fact she's from a basketball family. Her dad is a NBA champ and her brother is a current NBA player.
We armchair WBB fans are playing checkers DS Is playing 3D chess. That said, yes, Walker before Morrow, But how do you say no if Morrow wants to come?

She is following Raven, Coop, Watkins, Chloe, Cardoso on IG. Took me a minute to realize that's most of the team. (I forgot we lost 7 seniors.)

It's been reported at least 34 schools have extended offers and we'll have a clearer idea on where we stand.
For whatever reason we always have to wait ... we still get great players but I would love for a 2024 to commit before November and would love for a transfer to commit on the spot! Dawn does not appear to be worried though after her birdies tweet the other day ... she knows we are going to get some!
Dawn is so weird sometimes,
She is so open and up front on so many things. And then…. She is so secretive about injuries and their extent, a player could have a hangnail or a broken leg and all she says, “So and so did not practice and is day to day.” And then she tweets so cryptically about birdies. We scurry to see what exact time Dawn tweeted, who was on campus, count how many birdies are in the tweet. She is toying with us (shaky fist)I don't see how you can give a coach with no hs recruits and extension.
Lady Vol fans are in meltdown mode over on vol nation bc Kellie Harper sent out a Boom tweet and they are pretty sure it is Avery Strickland of Pitt. They don’t think she is SEC caliber.

Did a little research on Strickland and ….. Not in ESPN top 35 transfers. Strickland started 11 games out on a 10-20 team. Averaged 6ppg.
The real poser to me is the fact that Strickland is from Knoxville.
As far as I can tell Harper did not offer her, a hometown kid, a scholarship last year. She originally signed with WVU, but was granted a release when WVU had a coaching change. She subsequently signed with Pitt. So Harper had two chances to snag a hometown kid and either passed or couldn’t close the deal.
Pitt was a really bad team last. She was not a particularly good shooter from 2 or 3. Was totally unable to get to the Ft line and was a turnover machine. Nora player a would be tweeting “Boom” about

If she wants to play with a 6" 7' center who is going to consistently draw triple teams, then we're the place for her. We would love to have her.
