I wonder what "unfortunate situations" mean. Also worth noting this is her 2nd transfer so unless she graduates, she'll have to sit out a year.

Why put that in a tweet? Did she have to get out in front of something? Or what?

I don't see anything wrong with her tweet. She acknowledged teammates, coaches and fans. Sometimes you feel you've reached your ceiling at a certain place and want to try something different.

It doesn’t raise questions or curiosity for you? It just makes me want to know what she is referring to.
Not really. I took it as her injuries. She missed a lot of games during her career. I still think Olivia Thompson had one of the best farewells of all time. BYE.

I read elsewhere that she'll be a graduate transfer.

Not to give her any ideas, buy she seems a natural replacement for Alexis Morris.

Doesn’t she need to be a grad transfer to avoid sitting a year?
The NC sportswriter who initially reported that info has now backtracked. He is now saying that C. Taylor is set to graduate at the end of the semester & will be immediately available for her new team. He is also reporting that Ohio St. is a major contender for her services.

If she doesn't graduate, then yes she would have to sit a year.

That guy has backtracked twice alone today. I'm starting to take anything he says with a grain a salt.

Five players for USC to target in the portal. Something to read while we hurry up and wait.

Those are all great names. The likely hood of getting them is decent on some, doubtful on others. I say most likely are Taylor and Poapoa. Probable is Morrow and doubtful will be Donarski and Betts. However any combination of three of those would be a huge boon for the Gamecocks nest year.
Personally if we are able to land Morrow, Betts and Poapoa, we jump right into national championship favorites again

Looks like Taylor might land at Ohio State. Betts probably UCLA. I don't see Donarski here. I think Paopao and Morrow are our best shots from that list. Competition for both, especially Morrow, will be stiff..

Its funny how all of that changes day to day. For a while it was almost a sure thing that Betts ended up at Iowa now its UCLA. Taylor to us and now Ohio St. These girls are pulled everywhere. I do think Poapoa is almost a lock but will see. Hopefully Morrow will see scoring opportunities here where as at LSU she would have to compete with Reese at same position almost. Anyone going to Iowa will take a backseat to Clark in every way.
Will see what we get and at least we are getting stuff to talk about with the portal and not limited to juts baseball. We have football, MBB and WBB portal news to discuss so it is at least not boring.
July will be another story most likely.

Taylor, Donarski and PaoPao would all be excellent fits here. Don’t think you can get two.

I think Walker is a better fit than Betts, in experience, how she plays, and eligibility.

Morrow is a great talent, I mean how could you say no? However she seems to be holding a sweepstakes and I fear she messes up rotation, playing style and who plays what position. I wonder about her fitting into a culture where she gets less shots? She may be looking for exactly that type opportunity. Maybe it’s just me

I like your 3 as well. We need perimeter help, for at least one season, until our young players can mature. That should be the priority.

We need another low poster player, but I doubt Morrow and Betts would want to come here and share time. I never expected Cardoso would come here, so who knows.

btw, did Sania Feagin attend the Gamecock gala last night? She appears to be the only returning player not present. Kind of makes me nervous.

She did not appear to be there but I still feel confident she is going to stick with the team (I felt that way about Rivers last year too :/)
She did a live from the Spring Game and people were asking her about Paris and she said she was excited. She was also spotted at Halls with Sakima Walker Friday night. Lastly she just signed on as an athlete for SC Watermelon campaign so I would assume they only chose athletes from SC colleges

I believe someone said she was out of town. That's why she missed the Gala.

Thanks for that update. That made me feel better.

I want to see Feagin succeed her because she has always demonstrated a great attitude. I've never seen even a hint of sulking from her.

I would think it would be difficult for her to leave. She's basically spent her entire career at Carolina on the #1 ranked team. Then there's the money: I read on Duke's board that every USC player makes at least 25k a year. I don't know if that's true, but it sounds believable. Anyplace else has to feel like a step down. She's patiently waited her turn; hopefully she'll shine this upcoming season.

Is it just me or is she the only one in the portal screaming look at me?
I think it's all in fun. This is basically what all the kids do in high school when picking their schools.

You have to remember she wasn't even a top 100 player by ESPN and some other services out of high school. She got recruited but never like this. In today's age of NIL I think it's smart for fan engagement to put yourself out there especially since she has had hardly any coverage given that she played for DePaul.

Yea, I get it. Fans are impatient. Hope we are the program she picks.

Although we didn't get a top 3, it did seem like SC did get a lot of emphasis along with Notre Dame and Maryland. Unless I missed it I saw no mention of Ole Miss, Iowa or LSU who are among schools that has expressed interest.
Yes. I found that all positves. At first, I thought she was naming her top 3. SC, ND and USC I think. But then she went on and on and on. But we did have a heavy presence.

Not sure what relation the guy on the left is to Paopao. He has a niece who plays softball for Clemson. So maybe not so outrageous to think Te-hina might transfer here from the west coast. It seems like a lot of people are sleeping on her. Not a whole lot of buzz on twitter. Probably because very few ppl east of the Mississippi have the PAC-12 network. She's a good one, though. Former Team USA teammate of Sania Feagin.
