Men’s Basketball team was very sharp today.

Beat Serbia and Jokic by over 20. Very sharp indeed. This is a good team. Holiday, White, Adebayo are 100% winners. KD was 8/9, 5/5 from 3. Booker put the game away late. LBJ had a great game, such an intelligent player, a great passer. Very enjoyable watch.
But, as James said after the game, they need to watch their turnovers. Seventeen is too many. 110-84 was the final. USA shot the lights out.

Did Rodman get hurt?

From the second article above:

”Smith, Swanson and Trinity Rodman were sensational again as the starting front three of the USWNT, particularly in combination with No. 10 Rose Lavelle, who combined with Rodman on some precise passing to spark the first goal. All three forwards were involved in the opener: Rodman hit the cross, Swanson made the crucial near-post run to pull German defenders out of shape and Smith finished at the back post.“

I saw no mention of an injury.

Old man shouting at clouds: it bothers me when I see people wearing American flags as one would wear a cape.
And yet, no complaints on the 4th of women wearing flag clothing to barely cover nips or as butt floss.

She came up limping near the far sideline late. No follow-up commentary

I didn't see it so can anyone explain the below snippet about USA mountain bike silver medalist Haley Batten?? It seems like they reviewed the footage, decided she didn't do anything wrong, then fined her anyway for some nebulous reason. Or maybe the article wasn't clearly written. It seems like a pretty arbitrary fine, something the NCAA would do.

Batten was jockeying for second place with Sweden’s Jenny Rissveds, well behind eventual champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, when she went through a lane dedicated for taking on food and drink or stopping for mechanical problems. But after the judges reviewed the footage, they decided Batten had done neither and broke one of the rules of the race.

She was fined 500 Swiss francs, or about $565, for “failure to respect the instructions of the race organization or commissaires,” though the judges apparently decided that the infraction was not serious enough to warrant a disqualification.

Women’s field hockey on USA:

USA 1, Spain 1, 3rd period, quarter, whatever

Blue field, pitch, whatever. Looks like Boise State.

In men’s volleyball, the U.S. is crapping the bed versus Germany. The U.S. was up 2 sets to 0. Now it’s 2-2.
