Are the Franklin haters aware Penn State had a better regular season than Ohio State or MeCheatAgain?

Nah. They’re too busy saying Franklin sucks because of the last TD and that Penn State fans are all holier than thou because we criticize other coaches.
Why don’t you do the leg work and post the record of some coaches you think are better vs top 10 teams? Lane Kiffin? Brian Kelly? Dabo? Day?
Saban and Richt are better, but they are pretty much the exception.
Bro, you so easily dismiss history after one crazy season that hasn’t happened yet. Remember we’re 0-1 this season vs the big boys. Our biggest win will be hanging with O and winning a home playoff game. Sadly ND may take our boise State game 2.

So Franklin had to rely on the success of an opponent (UM) he can't beat in order for PSU to have a better record than another opponent (OSU) he also can't beat.

Give Franklin credit for what this season has the potential to be. however it’s not like we are undefeated or survived a stiff challenge from multiple top 15 teams this season ; OSU beat us for the millionth time in a row at home and we backed into this conference championship game. Still, would rather be in this position than sitting at home. No more UCLAs and Purdues going forward. If Franklin can’t beat Oregon and for some reason can’t get out of the first round at home, the situation will not be good. And I don’t think the first round game will be a Maryland type of an opponent either, so it’s not going to be easy. If he manages to beat Oregon, then we can talk about him righting the ship and deserving of the fans backing off of him for a bit.

Nothing went the way Greg Crippen thought it was going to go when he came to Michigan with J.J. McCarthy in 2021. He had to sit behind Andrew Vastardis, Olu Oluwatimi, and Drake Nugent before thinking he would start his senior year -- but he didn't. Dom Giudice got the shocking start to begin the season before Crippen took a hold of the job.
Center isn't an easy plug-and-play spot -- unless you land guys like Oluwatimi or Nugent. Getting Crippen back for a final year would help keep some continuity on a line that's going to be essentially new. Michigan will lose Myles Hinton, Josh Priebe, and Gio El-Hadi (who has another year of eligibility if he uses it). The Wolverines' offense clearly operated better once Crippen got the starting job.

I don't think we have many JF haters. There are plenty who fairly criticize Franklin's record against top opponents like OSU & UM. I'm not sure that makes them haters.
Expect more critcism if we lose to Oregon or in the 1st round playoff game. Fans expect to win a few of those games.
Historically about 8-10. But "We" and "YOU" deserve better. 8th all time in wins.....9th in winning percentage.
Franklin led psu to his best regular season ever. Kudos to him and the team.

At least a segment of the fanbase qualifies.
Franklin did great this year, and Penn State fans should acknowledge that, appreciate it, and enjoy the moment.
Just for perspective:
Michigan fans are very happy with their coach right now despite being 7-5, while almost losing to USC and Minnesota at home.

OSU also lost to a 6-5 unranked team at home. The same team they have lost to four years in a row. The same team that is the only measuring stick in Columbus. I think we are just fine at the moment.
One thing they didn't do is plant a flag in Beaver Stadium. Our program just doesn't rate high enough for them to do that.
Well, I lost my wife 22 days 1 month and 15 years ago. While I would give anything to have her back, we were married more than 37 years and met 46 years before she passed. There were a few instances where she would give me the death stare and through clenched teeth utter those immortal words..."dont tell me how to feel!" I immediately retreated into a fetal position and hoped i could rope a dope until she ran out of steam. I suspect more than a few guys here have been there. My post was a nod to those "special " moments.
Thanks for your 2 cents. Please don’t bring up Michigan to Penn state we don’t have a leg to stand on there.
Thrust the program into a cheating scandal of epic proportions. The HC and several assistants had to leave to escape show cause rulings. 1 assistant fired outright and the ring leader banished. The program, already on probation, is responding to a NOA at this moment. The current coach once sanctioned, will likely face suspension, with additional sanctions for the program when the NCAA rules.
I'll take the type of program Joe built and James continued everyday of the week and twice every Saturday.
