Do you figure that the cop at the stoplight will play any role going forward?Oh yes! Kim knew Lalo was alive but never told Jimmy, this is where things turn sour for the couple.
Who knows, anything is possible.Do you figure that the cop at the stoplight will play any role going forward?
Cliff will have something to do with this. Why did Kim blow off the meeting? In what world would Cliff’s friend with the mustache take a bribe?I can see Kim departing soon. Didn’t tell him and it may have freaked her out. But she was ready to kill the Person at the door.
He wouldn’t take a bribe that is what made Howard look like he was madCliff will have something to do with this. Why did Kim blow off the meeting? In what world would Cliff’s friend with the mustache take a bribe?
I forgot that Jimmy’s guy switched the pictures and there is nothing there for Cliff to use. D’oh!He wouldn’t take a bribe that is what made Howard look like he was mad
The challenge always was how to get Lalo into the laundry. I didn’t see that strategy coming, hell, it took me a minute or two to figure out that the “librarian” was Gus.Am I the only one that was a little disappointed? That episode kind of played out just like it seemed like it would. I thought it was clear that Lalo and Gus would end up in the lab and Gus would shoot him with the gun he planted. If it was a typical episode, I would probably be fine with it, but my expectations are extremely high for the final 6.
Need to get this thing into the BB timeframe.

Yes, it was good. Just not great imho. The challenge always was how to get Lalo into the laundry. I didn’t see that strategy coming, hell, it took me a minute or two to figure out that the “librarian” was Gus.
Well, after Walt shot Mike he was all, “I just realized that I could get the names of Mike’s people from Lydia.”What it shows is the Walt was the smartest of this bunch of criminals, followed by Gus & Lalo. My son was ticked they had telegraphed the gun in the lab but I say Gus knew Lalo was searching for proof to take back to Eladio and Gus is very meticulous to the point of insanity (remember he drank the poison tequila first in order to kill all the cartel).
Also, after the cold open it was obvious that there was only one way it could play out. Maybe Lalo would live for another episode but basically we all knew, or should have known, that his time was up. Perhaps this played a role in how you perceived this episode.Am I the only one that was a little disappointed? That episode kind of played out just like it seemed like it would. Yeah, Lyle is the manager in Breaking Bad. Edit: Apparently I’m wrong here. This is like the fifth time we’ve seen Lyle. Was Lyle the restaurant manager in BrBd? I don't think so.
I hope Lyle doesn't meet a gruesome death in the next five episodes, but it wouldn't surprise me.
One thing to remember was this wasn't written as a split season. It ended up that way due to the health of Odenkirk.Am I the only one that was a little disappointed? I think the Sandpiper settlement closed the Cliff story. I think he is done. I don't think you will see any Howard investigation at this point either. We know from BB that none of that followed Saul.Yes, it was good. Just not great imho.
Good prediction by you that Howard and Lalo would end up buried below the basement. I think your idea that Cliff comes back into play will also prove true. That was left unresolved and now the show is as much about what happens to Kim. Not to mention, G&G will have to show the police poking around about Howard's death and Cliff knows a lot about his final days.
I'm still holding out hope that Kim has a clandestine role during the BB period (she is made of sterner stuff). We'll see.
Wiki says that he was only in BCS https://breakingbad.fandom.com/wiki/LyleYeah, Lyle is the manager in Breaking Bad.
I will take that bet. I don't think they can leave the Howard thing open, and if that is true, I'm confident that Cliff will return. We shall see.I think the Sandpiper settlement closed the Cliff story. I think he is done. I don't think you will see any Howard investigation at this point either. The big one of course is Kim and what happens with Gene.
I liked it. I loved the opening sequence on the beach and pullback camera work.Am I the only one that was a little disappointed? That episode kind of played out just like it seemed like it would. Apparently the beach scene was the last shot filmed before production wrapped. G&G have a tradition of shots like these; my favorite is the cold opening of the episode in which Nacho takes himself out.I liked it. I loved the opening sequence on the beach and pullback camera work.
I liked that they wrapped that story arc up. For the most part.
Am really interested to see where the Kim arc goes.
I love, love, love tracking shots and this is one of the first "reverse" tracking shot I've ever seen.Apparently the beach scene was the last shot filmed before production wrapped. I read an interview with Gordon Smith, who wrote this latest episode, in which he was asked this question. Paraphrasing: “Mike had already once told Jimmy that Lalo would no longer be a problem so why should Jimmy believe Mike now?” Great take! How do they resolve the BB scene with Saul, Walt, and Jesse? From what Mike tells Jimmy, he should know Lalo isn’t coming back. Unless Jimmy is still traumatized and paranoid from the Howard incident. Jimmy does say to Lalo, as he is tying Jimmy up, that it wasn’t him, it was Ignacio, so dialogue keeps on that train.

G&G have said that they would have pulled the plug on the show if Odenkirk had died. (I’ll look for the reference.)Odenkirk had his heart attack in the post Howard shooting couch sit with Lalo and Kim. Tony Dalton rehearsed his lines for two months until Odenkirk was cleared to come back and resume the scene. And just imagine if Odenkirk had passed!! What would they have done??

Well thank goodness that didn’t happen so we can enjoy the end of one of the great shows on TV.Better Call Saul Boss Was Ready to Scrap the Show If Bob Odenkirk's Heart Attack Was Worse
Better Call Saul boss Peter Gould says he would have scrapped the show's final season if Bob Odenkirk had not recovered from his heart attack.www.google.com
I am confident that G&G will deliver the goods.Well thank goodness that didn’t happen so we can enjoy the end of one of the great shows on TV.
I envision “Gene” running into her in Omaha. Maybe the cabby that found Saul is a PD or a skip tracer hired by Kim.Kim ain't done.
