Not sure what it could be because Saul continues to live on in BB, but, that being said, I’m sure they will end it with the “Gene” part of the story.Happened to hear "Baby Blue" by Badfinger this morning. I've said in one of these BB or BCS threads that imo, it was the most perfect use of a series-ending song ever. I still think that. Makes me wonder if they will come up with a song to close out BCS, or go a different way. I think anyone connected to BB who was familiar with Baby Blue just knew years in advance that that song was tailor-made for BB. Not sure if there is a parallel for BCS. "Lawyers, Guns and Money" by Warren Zevon may be sort of in the ballpark, but just isn't the grand slam that Baby Blue was.
"Days of Wine and Roses" was a strong opening song for the final season, but that one is an old standard and was almost too easy a choice. I liked the way they superimposed the house clean out activity with the song, but it didn't stir any emotion in me like Baby Blue did with Walter and his final moments of BB.
Any thoughts, fellow BCS fans?
Right. Didn't mean to imply it would be a death scene, just thinking about if they would again try to find a great musical send-off to end the series. Not sure what it could be because Saul continues to live on in BB, but, that being said, I’m sure they will end it with the “Gene” part of the story.
Oh yeah. Especially the line, “guess I got what I deserve”.Right. Didn't mean to imply it would be a death scene, just thinking about if they would again try to find a great musical send-off to end the series.
e.g. L, G, & M could be a segue to Gene "taking care of it himself", maybe by contacting Kim for help? No, probably not.
I'm probably in a great minority in how much the "Baby Blue" ending for BB really struck me as absolutely perfect, and hit an emotional chord more than anything else in the series did.

Why do I feel like it's going to be some kind of school trip and she's another teacher or the principal or something? Would be a total let down.IMDB has Cranston, Paul, and Carol Burnett in tonight’s episode. I’d love to see Carol playing a dark role.

My ideal role for Burnett was something along the lines of Ed the Cleaner’s mother, who started his business. (I had thought for a while that Kim might have called for vacuum repair but don’t see that happening now.)I don't really see it as anything more than a throw in role for Burnett. Cranston and Paul could be anything.
They zoomed in on the card when they were looking through the book and she was holding it. Maybe she made the call offscreen and we'll see a flashback? My ideal role for Burnett was something along the lines of Ed the Cleaner’s mother, who started his business. You do realize that this is a thread for those who like the show and like to discuss it right? If you don't like it, don't read the thread.Saul.... lame.
It's not like one episode makes Jimmy and Kim turn bad. Jimmy goes from dull clothes and POS cars to excesses . Kim starts out as well put together, bright, peppy, sharp dresser to where she is all dark clothes her face is shadowy and her will is up to something desperate.
Is this what Jimmy wanted from the beginning ? Maybe yes.
Saul.... lame.
Given the track record of this show, I expect them to do something very interesting, fun, and worthwhile with Carol Burnett's character. I'm guessing that they wouldn't cast her in the show otherwise. Why do I feel like it's going to be some kind of school trip and she's another teacher or the principal or something? Yeah, that tooth popping line was great.Oh, I read something that prompted me to look again at Breaking Bad S5.01, in which Hank and Gomez are examining the burned-out lab.
Hank: “Where were the two bodies?”
“Over by the freight elevator, over there.”
“No idea who they were?”
“No, not much left. Apparently the teeth do this popping thing when it gets too hot, so they tell me. Whoever torched it did it up right.”
I’m thinking that the bodies were Lalo and Howard. Victor, who Gus did in with a box-cutter, got the acid bath. Who else?Yeah, that tooth popping line was great.
Those were Gus's guys, right? And they staged it to look like it was Heisenberg and Jesse (no dental records to prove otherwise).
S4E13. After Gus gets killed, WW goes to the lab to get Jesse. He shoots Gus's two unnamed guys. They are left to burn in the lab to look like WW and Jesse.I’m thinking that the bodies were Lalo and Howard. Victor, who Gus did in with a box-cutter, got the acid bath. Who else?
Thank you. Great catch. I was wondering how they could have discovered Lalo and Howard’s bodies given that they were six feet underground. Fooled me, G&G are some crafty sonsabitches.S4E13. Played us all. Lol.No Walter or Jesse tonight! WTF?!
Seems like Jeffie ran with a bad crowd in Albuquerque. He may know the blue meth. I wonder if we have seen the last of him?Played us all. Lol.
Saul still runs deep in GeneThis episode threw me for a loop. See where this goes.
Taylor Martinez was a freshman in 2010 which was the year before they joined the B10. Texas game was Oct 16. Little early for snow.Carol Burnett will be in multiple episodes so the Jeff storyline is not done. The writers screwed up a little with the Nebraska dialogue because Taylor Martinez would have played vs Big 10 opponents and they referenced Texas, I believe. This places the Gene timeline somewhere between 2010-2013. Thinking back about the BCS season photo of Gene with a half on half off red jacket, it now appears to me that Saul is gonna get caught because Gene can no longer suppress him and he has “jumped the shark” by putting Marco’s ring on again.
I am starting to think that Cranston and Paul making a BCS appearance may be a clever ruse by Gilligan. Smacks of a Saul scheme now that I think about it and, wow, what a better way to help drive more interest in the show!Played us all. Lol.
