We had a Hooters go out of biz in Jupiter. 25 years ago! How? The girls were amazing.I know that many people are focused on healthy eating today, but how does a McDonald’s go out of business?
Damn. I ate at that McDonald’s when I was a student.
I ate at that McDonald’s Friday night before the ‘95 Michigan game. We came up in an RV and I lost the group I was with as I kept falling with a knee I had just injured the Wednesday before playing hockey, was hammered, and the snow was falling. It was kind of a beautiful scene until I realized I had no idea how to get back to the RV. After standing in a long, long line at CC Peppers, I turned to go to my table and dropped the whole tray. I sat dejectedly at a table with no food, reading the student newspaper about the game in perfect double vision. Took me forever. Eventually I realized I had to leave and was still hungry so I got up and got to that McDonald’s where I remembered I had the phone number of my friend’s girlfriend. They came and picked me up and brought me to their apartment party that went on until the sun came up.I know that many people are focused on healthy eating today, but how does a McDonald’s go out of business?

Good times. Glad I don’t do that anymore.
There was nothing more magical than walking up college ave totally alone in the snow stoned at 4am in the middle of the street listening to the traffic signals click to a new color above my headI ate at that McDonald’s Friday night before the ‘95 Michigan game. Hey.....I lived in Pollock in fall '73 to spring '75. When you you there?I lived in Pollock my two years in the dorms. At least one night a week someone would run down there about midnight and my order was always a quarter pounder w/cheese and a filet-o-fish. No fries or drinks.
Fall of 78 to Spring 80.Hey.....I lived in Pollock in fall '73 to spring '75. When you you there?
I can still picture it clearly in my head. At the time it was happening and still today, it looks like the scene of George Bailey running home down the main street of Bedford Falls. There was nothing more magical than walking up college ave totally alone in the snow stoned at 4am in the middle of the street listening to the traffic signals click to a new color above my head
I had heard that the busiest McDonald's was the one in Breezewood, PA, at the turnpike. At one time when I was there, around 97 or 98, I thought they had said that it was the second busiest McDonald’s in the country.
Misleading headline, so I am told. My wife says they’re just relocating to one of the high rises.
i am living proof of that statement for sureGod takes care of drunks and little children.
Sorry for tripping you at CC Peppers but believe I was more inebriated than you at that moment.I ate at that McDonald’s Friday night before the ‘95 Michigan game. Whew, so it wasn’t me. God, I was a sloppy drunk, I’d piss off people left and right. SMH.Sorry for tripping you at CC Peppers but believe I was more inebriated than you at that moment.
The other McDs are far outside of downtown. I too have read that it is supposed to go back into the high rise that is being built. I am pretty sure that McDs was pretty busy at times.Yea a high rise is slated there. There are 3 other McDonalds in sc though. Plenty for a small town.
If that McDonald’s does go into a high rise can you imagine the smell permeating throughout the building. Omg. could be good for sales though as students would have it on the brain.
