The nose wipe celebration after a big play in football originated with Deshaun Watson in 2018, and was inspired by a verse from the song "Slimed in" by Atlanta rapper Young Thug. The verse includes the line, "Wipe your nose clean/F@#$ your whole team". After Watson started doing the celebration, other players on his team began to do it as well.
