Is it any surprise the Nose pickers in Michigan are cheaters? Currently under investigation by the NCAA illegally scouting

Maybe. He’ll probably tuck his tail and run like Carroll and Chip Kelly when sanctions were about to be handed out. Although, it isn’t the first offense for this staff, so will the NCAA deem it the dreaded, “lack of institutional control”?
If Harbaugh bolts Michigan probably gets probation and maybe the loss of like 2 scholarships for the 2024 season.

How does a conversation like that go down? Someone tells an assistant who then tells Jim Harbaugh that he can steal every opponent’s plays. Harbaugh then holds a meeting with his OC and DC and tells them, “guys, if someone, someday hypothetically comes into possession of an opponent’s plays, that might be useful data for some but it can never, ever reach the head coach.”

Sounds like the appropriate level of mafia style allusion, keep the hands clean methodology. Need that sweet, sweet plausible deniability.

His Venmo had been public and showed transactions that indicated transfers of money for games, for example using a peach logo for a Georgia game week. They have followed the money and found at least 5 figures spent for the operation, but Conner's salary is $55k so clearly he's not spending 20%+ of his pay to fund this and others are going to be found bankrolling it, it's just a matter of who.

One of the best things to happen to investigative reporting in the last few years is the fact that Venmo is set to public by default for some reason. It's crazy but true. The Marine shut it down but it's always too late.

Following the money always works and it will here too, shutting down the MMM from claiming it's ok because the staffer himself didn't attend the games. Whoever sat in that seat was an agent of the university and a de facto employee in this matter.

IT IS WHAT IT IS??

Yeah man, I'm the near future, everyone will just forget that we were cheating on what most people are calling an unprecedented way when we won all those games and people will just remember that we won and not that we were totally cheating...

So, Harbaugh went from “figuring it all out” to a known cheater? He must have been really desperate to get out of 3rd place in the B1G East.

He's pathetic. All of the Franklin haters here that pump their chest and say Harbaugh took a pay cut just remember he said it was to pay his staff more. (To effing cheat apparently)

So it seems that the staffs of multiple teams over the past year+ were aware of this and yet the Big Ten conference were JUST made aware? That seems a bit odd, almost as if the conference officiating was run through UM and OSU. Of course if anyone had the audacity to lodge a complaint to the conference they'd probably wind up on the short end of the scheduling stick and/or the enforcement squad of officials.

My hot take is Harbaugh isn't on the sideline for the game vs. PSU.
I agree. I also believe that PSU beats scUM this season.

Everyone’s happy…..OSU goes to the Final Four and the B1G sends many teams into bowl season, but none to the Rose 🌹….it’s a semi-final bowl

So if someone’s game film captures what you need, all is good.

Sounds like a technicality!

Not someone, but a staffer who's job was to ignore well defined NCAA rules regarding in person scouting and electronically recording.

If Billy Bob Sixpack did it and offered to give it to Michigan, the proper response from Michigan would be to decline it.

If the Bg10 and NCAA had any balls they would make Michigan forfeit any games where that dick had scouted the opponent but putting Eastern Michigan on probation will probable be what happens or Hairball bolts to the NFL like Carroll did at USC.

I'm proceeding with the assumption that UM was knocked of the playoffs out by their own backfired cheating scheme. It makes me happy.
The really funny part is that TCU outside of some once in a lifetime miracle finishes in 2022 wasn’t a solid football team. I’ll use their game with Georgia as exhibit A.
Had Michigan just relied on regular scouting and preparation techniques I believe they would have won that game easily. The time wasted in preparation for signals that didn’t materialize actually doomed them.

Assuming you're right that coaching suspensions would be coming that quickly, then many coaches would be implicated and not just Harbaugh. If he's suspended for that game all of the coordinators shown listening to Stalions on the sideline will be suspended as well.

We now know why they got so good so quick in the last couple of years......the Michigan way........and their HC is the biggest scumbag out there.

I was wondering how TCU pulled off the A$$. BEATING. o_O over um in light of um’s latest scandal.
Haaaa!!! So Ryan Day knew we were stealing signs, changed them, still got his *** beat, and then tipped off TCU. Those guys then had the bright idea to use dummy signs to throw Michigan off and win by 5. Wondering why Ryan didn't think of that. This thread is awesome. Keep it up. I cannot wait to see the fire burning on this board on 11/11 at about 4 p.m.

Michigan is toast. Weiss, Shemy, Stalions...LOL this could be lack of institutional control.
Harbaugh is going to the NFL and once he's gone this will all go away. This is all about him. In the meantime, I hate to tell you but that game on November 11th is going to be played and its not going to go well for PSU. Sorry, there is no stopping the actual game from being played

That may not save Penn State. You need JJ and Corum and a couple d lineman to be involved. Then you'll be on to something
you know, you’re probably right. Not having Jimmy on the sideline is probably good for Michigan because it’s obvious he’s not a great coach. I mean look at his record before the cheating, third and fourth place.

But even if you believe the cheating took them to the next level, they were still beating Penn State before it started

I’ll believe it when I see it. I know someone highly placed at UM. (Actually I don’t know anyone, but saying it usually provides credibility). UM doesn’t want to do anything now, delaying is their best alternative. The longer this goes on chances are some other coach or program will do something even more stupid, and deflect the heat. Plus they have more time to talk their way out of the situation with the BIG and the NCAA. Whom I imagine would be thrilled if the whole thing just disappeared.

Many other team boards that I’ve visited (those not directly invested in beating UM) don’t seem to view it as deal breaker. Despite many members of the National Sports Media attempting to highly publicize it. Life isn’t always fair, and the guilty not always punished. If I’m wrong I’ll gladly apologize.

What I'm seeing is on message boards is that folks were initially dismissive of the significance of the Michigan sign stealing scandal. But as this story continues to have legs, the momentum has been more towards folks thinking this is a very big deal.

I believe that when this started, most CFB fans around the country blew it off as just a concern for Big Ten teams. But once it became apparent that the playoff was impacted and that Michigan's scheme involved SEC teams trying to make the playoff as well, it became a very big deal to a lot of folks who follow CFB. They want blood.

The thing that cracks me up is that a sign stealing operation is so on brand for Michigan. What a POS institution.

This Marine reminds me of their dirty refs. These people, for some reason, feel like it's their mission to cheat to help michigan win. Where does that come from? I want PSU to win so badly it hurts but winning while cheating is worthless. You're cheating yourself. I know this country has some issues right now with poor sportsmanship but this has been going on with michigan for at least 20 years.

They're just bad people. It sucks being in the same league as them and they've been rubbing me the wrong way since it started.
