Sorry, I didn’t notice because you always tend to come off as a .Marxist communist when you post in these political threads…
Worked for the campaigns of Carroll Campbell, Mark Sanford and Mitt Romney. Been called a RINO plenty of times but I accept that due to the populist turn the Republican party has taken.

Have commented on the history of influence in our country, the legal isues involved, have not defended either party and condemned both which accept big money without question. To push that to "Marxist communist" is ludicrous....and indiciates you are a "true believer" who simply likes to throw out ad hominem attacks to those who disagree with you.

I wish a thread about Gamecock athletics could generate 4 pages of discussion.
When things are happening in Gamecock Sports 4 pages is common. Until then, there are other things to talk about. Should change in the next month or two.

There's always been corruption in the system on both sides but this adminstration is in a league of it's own. Poll numbers with moderates fleeing left extremism and horrific policy tell the story. The Democratic Party has become a lobbying firm with a political party attached. They have absolute not a care in the world for openly lying to the American people on a daily basis. It's both sad and dangerous.

I agree they're not the same. The protests at the SC judges houses (minus the one guy) seem to be non violent.

I'd say that Jan 6th falls in between the SC protests and the summer of mayhem on the violence scale.

I would disagree on the last statement though. I feel like there was a bit less restraint used by that cop than by many others in similar situations. And if his victims actions were enough to warrant being shot, the bar is pretty low and a LOT more people would be shot during protests.
OK, but January 6 happened to overthrow our whole government.
Jan 6 was nothing but a FBI/CIA operation. Tons of plants were in that crowd that day. Trump repeatedly said to march and protest peacefully. Bottom line....it is a sham.
This could be true, and your thought would make sense at first.

But, Trump let it play out as it did. He controlled the national guard and military.

So you will have to try harder to deny the truth.

Laughable at best.
OK. So what would have to happen for you to stop laughing?

They had a riot and broke into the Capitol as the vote was being certified. How is that not pretty close to a successful coup?

What do you think the goal was on January 6?

The riot doesn't make me laugh. The notion that delaying (at best) certifying the vote was going to overthrow the government does make me laugh. The pathetic notion that our entire government was going to stop and say, "well that guy in the Buffalo hat is now in charge, let's follow his orders" is what is ridiculous.

For me to stop laughing, fringe leftists will need to stop comparing a few hour temper tantrum to something as serious as taking over a country. THAT was actually attempted 4 years prior by the other party.

No could be true about it. It is true. Anyone with a functioning frontal cortex knows the election was stolen and also knows that was an FBI/CIA operation. Who is Ray Epps? Can you tell me?

Speaking of denying the truth. The pentagon, under Trump, offered the national guard for security 4 days before, and it was turned down.

I think you are overestimating his " control" over the national guard. (Not to mention his ability to send the mitary into a police operation on American soil.)

Dude you said Soros trying to destroy America was a conspiracy theory and keep changing the subject and not backing your position up when I provide the evidence (there is plenty more evidence). That’s what Marxist do. Don’t look over here look over there…

And the politicians you worked for are RINOs so you should be called a RINO at the very least. Those politicians serve their “influencers” so it’s ironic for you to take the moral high road on the money that influences our government.

No...you showed evidence that Soros donated money to a politician running for the District Attorney position. I don't have any problem with that as a lot of very wealthy people do donate money to politicians and causes they like. The remainder of your diatribe is inferrence and opinion....you have no clue what anyone's intent is and it is your opinion that whatever you infer is to be is that it will destroy America. America has been through much worse times than this......much worse.

So you believe all those to be RINOs and I think most of the new "Republicans" are RINOs. And I'm sure you'd absolutely love the other Republican I worked for.......David Beasley. Have fun with that one.

Have a nice evening. Getting up early to do a little sailing.

I actually have respect for how hard Trump tries. He filed like 70 lawsuits after he lost. Yet he did not really try to stop the riot after they broke into the Capitol, and he spent the time trying to convince people to complete the coup. People begged him to help and he did not. Trump always makes his stance clear, but you are not reading his (in)actions on the day for what they were.

So, the election outcome was very close to the 2016 election in all the states. Look at the data, not what somebody says on TV. Those elections were like maybe the 2000 and 2006 Carolina-Clemson games, depending on who you like. Just because the outcome went againt your team/candidate does not make it corrupt or wrong. In 2016 Trump lost the popular vote bad. Is it really a surprise that he lost 2020? It all comes down to what a few people in the swing states decide, maybe on election day. Losers sit around and talk about fumbles, how they got more yards than the other team in the second half, "if only we had caught that one slant...", whatever. Or hanging chads, or votes by mail. In life we win and we lose and the line is really fine sometimes. Being a man, being a human means winning and losing with grace and respecting the game/system. Many are doing that now. Bill Barr for one. Be a man. Admit the truth and get ready for the next day.

This incoherent blather has nothing to do with you denying the truth about the national guard and military.

I've seen the data and also have common sense. A dude with dementia who couldn't fill up 6 circles didn't win the election.

Quit dodging my question. Who is Ray Epps?

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. If you think Soros is trying to help the United States with his political donations than you are part of the problem and either you condone or don’t understand Marxism. My guess is you condone it.

You can't answer because you know he was a plant.

Given his last few nonsensical responses, he's not really paying attention to what he's reading and responding to anyway. So no, you won't get a real answer.

I did see that the Colberts staff just tried to "take over the country".

Rioters are committing a Jan. 6th event every night outside Supreme Court justices houses with specific laws prohibiting it and nothing is done. Where is the congressional action/hearings? Blocked by Pelosi of course. By the way, the only person murdered on Jan. 6th was a military veteran protester by Capitol Police. Our justice system is no longer an equal justice system.

The point of a forum is everyone shares their viewpoint and makes their own judgments. At least you get to see and process all viewpoints. By suggesting deleting the thread you are suggesting censoring certain views you don't agree with and fear exposure to them by others.

FWIW, Ron Rivera has backtracked somewhat and now says that Del Rio was fined $100,000, not for the substance of his comments, but because his comments were a distraction for the team.
Yeah, that's the ticket!
