Sunday (6/30) was the birthday of the late, great, Florence Ballard. She was a founding member of the Primettes, which after being signed by Motown changed their name to the Supremes. Reportedly, Ballard was the one that picked the Supremes from a list of name options Motown gave them. In the early days of the group, Ballard was considered the best singer, and sang lead on some of their songs, but they really didn't have a lead singer. That changed in 1963, and the rest is history. Sunday (6/30) is the birthday of Andy Scott. He was the lead guitarist and a songwriter for the Sweet. He wasn't a founding member, but he's the last surviving member of the band's classic lineup. To celebrate:

Monday (7/1) is the birthday of Evelyn King. While born in NYC, she lived most of her childhood in the Commonwealth, in Philadelphia. Somewhere along the line, she became known as Evelyn Champagne King. To celebrate:

Tuesday (7/2) was the birthday of the late, great, Paul Williams. He was a founding member of the Primes, which went on to be renamed the Temptations. He was their original lead singer, and served as their choreographer for many years. To celebrate:
