The blacked punt you just said was on the punter? That blocked punt?

Film study and coaching should have
So the punter basically runs to the rusher and kicks it into him and a player on the line makes a bad decision on his blocking assignment and that's the coach's fault? He can't execute for them. Fortunately, the execution worked on the fake punt.

There does need to be some adjustments made to the FG blocking scheme because they nearly got the 26-22 kick blocked as well. Minnesota found something on tape and they exploited it pretty well.
trying to align with BWICAC Policy. Any lack of execution is 100% 0n the coaches,

I was looking through this thread trying to settle on the worst post- very hard to do with so many really stunningly bad ones.

Sounds like the long snapper had the green light to call the fake if Minny sent out the punt return team. Big balls on the long snapper . I guess that's why they have to spread their feet so wide.......
Penn State repped this fake punt since the preseason and even gave Rulli the green light to call it about a half dozen times this season, Franklin said. However, the Nittany Lions never got the right look to run it until Saturday when Penn State spent the entire afternoon on upset alert. Franklin expected P.J. Fleck’s team to line up guarding against a fake, but when the Gophers ran their punt return team out instead, Rulli recognized it and make the right check----the Athletic

Great win on the road against a scrappy team, on a weekend when all the SEC homers were dying to see us lose (watching Bama, Ole Miss, and A&M lose to bad teams made it so much sweeter!). One problem I usually av w with Franklin is his inconsistency with being aggressive - he set the tone early that it would be the case last night and stuck with it. Left some points on the filed on the fourth down when he could have made a FG, but made up for it. Having Luke Reynolds run the fake punt was genius - he’s the next Warren.

Only Maryland left - CFP rankings this week will be very, very interesting….

I’m convinced that he shanked it and we wouldn’t have gotten much out of it even if it wasn’t blocked.
PP's are coached to never give ground. I've seen them block their own punts with their backpeddling asses. So the PP was backing up and funneling the rushers to the right. Yet the punter didn't adjust.

The guys on CBS said it was a great win, championship stuff, right after the game. They actually watched it. Later some guy on another network criticized, prolly w/o watching the game and advocated for PSU to drop back. But how, everything behind them is a real mess. The politics of it is disgusting.
