Watching all this conference reliagnment/implosion horse-a$$, suddenly being Penn State isn’t such a bad thing. It’s so weird to think that we are one of the cool kids. We are on the inside looking in wondering what we did to get a seat at the (kiddie) table instead of being left out in the cold.

I guess all we can do is thank Sandy for her foresight in positioning us for a bright future (that we don’t deserve).

Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina and Virgina in negotiations with SEC. ESPN in negotiations with ACC to end TV contract.

Holy crap. If these reports are true, then Pitt to the B12, one would surmise.

Edited.

I think in the fog of War there is going to be alot of miss reporting. When the shells stop falling and the mist rises, we'll find out who lands where.

You could make an argument that, at least in football, Northwestern > Indiana.

Stanford will probably spend some of its massive endowment (that’s what she said) to study if football is financially feasible going forward. I honestly think they could not give a sh*t.

And yet many posters have longed to move to the ACC for years. The Big 10 has been one of the best places to be for quite some time.

Stanford sees its peer group as Harvard, Princeton, MIT, etc... and it is. They are in competition to be the best university in the world. Winning a football championship isn't much help.

Oh, right, all that money the cable companies paid the Big Ten - as a result of adding a team that no one watches (and that actually decreases viewership). Mea culpa, I should have remembered that.
Why are you having a problem understanding this? It was described very clearly in the article. Just admit you were wrong and move on.

Apparently California board of Regents are meeting to discuss UCLA move to BIG. Litigation has been raised.

Has anyone seen any chatter about whether USC and UCLA will get a full revenue share from day 1 or if they will gradually ramp up like Nebraska, Rutgers and Maryland did in the recent expansions?
