no worries!! What I've seen we beat out Towson and UMD, so is that who we want to recruit against?

So we can conclude that Kraft hasn't fixed NIL. Got it. Breeds tremendous confidence that he has the stadium project under control. He had a really solid offer list - Bama, Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida - I don't know how 'committable' the offers were but still, seems like several high quality programs liked him.
I don't blame Franklin here - he's not able to sell PSU on the things that were *important* before NIL; now it's all NIL. And it's why you see kids flipping to Rutgers. But I can't recall the last time we got a verbal from the 700+ ranked player in the country. Joe had a few awful recruiting years (Paul Cianciolo!!!! Yay!!!) but those were self-inflicted. Is what it is now.
I dont understand why PSU NIL funding is not like other 'top 10' like teams.Sadly, it means nothing, absolutely nothing. You gain a commit, you lose a decommit, you gain a transfer in, you lose a transfer out, you beg for NIL funding. This college game now belongs to a new generation and I'm sure they love it. Me? I'm bowing out
I get what you're saying and part of me is in the same camp as you. However, I have to remind myself that the majority of the players on the 120-man roster probably will get little, if any, NIL $$. Just think how those walk-on players must feel now. Not only do they not get a scholarship. They don't get extra NIL money either. I hope those walk-ons do get a little money from some NIL fund because they are out there purely for the love of the game and will still have massive PSU loan debt when they are finished.Sadly, it means nothing, absolutely nothing. He's not the only one. Scary.Yes. He's out of his depth.
Speaking of walk ons.As a walk-on, so there's always that route.

Question: Has it ever been stated that all players on the roster will get some amount of NIL?

Whoever they put in charge to enforce roster limits.who would enforce roster limits? Actually why even have scholarship limits?
Part of it is the antiquated perception some fans still have of PSU/college football that thinks these players are just lucky to get a free education. There are also a bunch of folks who are still miffed how PSU treated Joe and they aren't going to let that go if they haven't by now. Then you have folks who don't like where the college game is heading and simply don't want to go down that route. Then you have folks already paying 4k plus a year for tickets, parking, lodging....etc. and they may say enough is enough.I dont understand why PSU NIL funding is not like other 'top 10' like teams.
It's SOS. Current limits are in place so that schools don't bankrupt themselves (remember Pogo?) competing. Not sure how that structure fundamentally changes in any settlement.who would enforce roster limits? Actually why even have scholarship limits?

I guess I forgot to sum up my post to keep you from giving up on the team all together. You are describing the college game s it is today. The game I have abandoned
How does a judge certifying a settlement with a group of plaintiffs shield a defendant from another suit, based on restraint of trade, with another group of plaintiffs?
That's my take as well.Yeah, not sure why Walk-On's would be eliminated - the legislation I've seen basically gets rid of scholarship/roster limits; Nebraska can do whatever it wants; sounds like it doesn't want to support them financially.
It's a lack of leadership at PSU. Everything you say may be true, but somebody has to make a case to those with the checkbooks that the cause is worth supporting. If those in positions of responsibility don't do enough and expect potential funders to come around and then blame them when they don't, they get what they deserve.Part of it is the antiquated perception some fans still have of PSU/college football that thinks these players are just lucky to get a free education. Other schools were in particular most of the SEC (tOSU too) were onboard with pay for play, over singing, and "roster management" long before PSU. All of the reasons people have are somewhat valid, but it's pretty crazy that the school with such a huge alumni base is struggling to keep up. People knocking this recruiting class don't seem to grasp where PSU is on that NIL board.

Keep rooting for the bottom half of the team. They still want to be out there no matter what happens. They are as old-school as it gets.

Not to worry. I won't give up on the team, just the game. Although Saturdays won't have a priority to watch the games. If I'm home , I'll watch, if not I'll likely watch a replay , but no guarantee on thatI guess I forgot to sum up my post to keep you from giving up on the team all together.

shouldnt CJF be out raising NIL money for his recruits?Part of it is the antiquated perception some fans still have of PSU/college football that thinks these players are just lucky to get a free education. Here you go.shouldnt CJF be out raising NIL money for his recruits?
I don't think that isn't the answer he is looking for as people that visit this site know how to donate by now if they really wanted to. I'm sure all HC's are doing what they can, but "SOME" PSU fans want to be elite without actually do anything new or moving forward, because 40 years Joe did it.Here you go.

I refuse to give away premium content but if these guys only knew the jackass road blocks that our colective(s) are running into they might change their tune. I dont know what CJF is or isnt doing, and Joe has nothing to do with this. But if CJF goal is to win a NC, he needs to go 5-10 daddy war bucks billionaires that support the program and tell them they need $100 million per season in NIL money to reach a NC. So open your check books. This is the world we live. IMO this is CJF's job, if he wants to keep his job.I don't think that isn't the answer he is looking for as people that visit this site know how to donate by now if they really wanted to. Did you think of that all on your own...impressive. I'll refer you back to this post....I dont know what CJF is or isnt doing, and Joe has nothing to do with this. if there arent any rules, which there are not, how or why would they run into any road blocks?I refuse to give away premium content but if these guys only knew the jackass road blocks that our colective(s) are up running into they might change their tune. Probably not but maybe.

I'm not sure who told you this, but they were wrong. It's ok to say you don't understand it or something, but I imagine you'll keep doubling down.if there arent any rules, which there are not, how or why would they run into any road blocks?
You don’t come to PSU for the NIL.. You come to PSU for the library and ice cream.
PA allows high school students to participate in NIL activities. So what PSU rules are an impediment and why isn't Kraft fixing them?I'm not sure who told you this, but they were wrong. It's ok to say you don't understand it or something, but I imagine you'll keep doubling down.
NIL laws vary by state, meaning your state may or may not have its own NIL regulations you must adhere to. Whether high school students can participate in NIL activities depends on the rules set by your state’s high school sports association. Additionally, colleges and universities often have their own unique rules for NIL.

you are correct, I will, because I do understand this, and there really arent any rules, other than the kid has to report it as income, and they have apps to help them do that, and keep things above board. With the new NCAA regulations saying the schools can be involved, CJF just needs to make introductions and let the kid take it from there. This is why you dont do it thru a collective, whatever that is, you go to Daddy warbucks themselves. The kid has to use the app and report it, but they dont really have to do anything other than put on a weekly 'how to play football seminar ' for Daddy Warbucks.I'm not sure who told you this, but they were wrong. Now go back and read my first post again when you talk about introductions and why some of those whales aren't lining up. If you don't like NIL, Kraft, or CJF....that is fine, but don't sit there and act like PSU hasn't faced internal battles. PSU fans/alums for years thumbed their nose at the pay for play schools, but guess what their fans aren't stuck in this internal battle as they got past this 20+ years ago.you are correct, I will, because I do understand this, and there really arent any rules, other than the kid has to report it as income, and they have apps to help them do that, and keep things above board. you guys make it seem like rocket science when its not. and I was invited to listen to the NIL training when it first came out. The biggest thing is, if you use the schools uniforms, then the school wanted a piece of the flesh. Leave the school out of it, and give it to the kid.
Here you go.

You can donate to a specific sport such as football through HVU. That information is out there but admittedly not easy to find. Perhaps if HVU somehow knew you're an Alumni, they'd be able to contact you and fill you in on such things.Without reading any premium content I already see one issue, and that is that football, as far as I know, does not have it's own collective and it should. Big dog eats first.
