Tough loss. Not sure where things went wrong for the Phillies. Two issues: Aaron Nola has proven he is a feast or famine type of pitcher. His performance in game 6 was subpar. But the killer was game 3 where Suarez basically shut down the Diamondbacks and one of the best if not the best hitting lineups in baseball couldn't produce a couple of runs against a 3-9 Brandon Pfaadt!! This team is two or three trades away from winning multiple WS titles, I hope the GM makes the right moves.

Game 4 is the reason they lost this series. It still blows my mind that Thomson brought in Kimbrel when he threw 24 pitches the night before. They guy was cooked.

Rob should takes some notes from Bruce Bochy. He's going for his 4th championship next week. Screw the analytics.

I’m still stunned at the outcome.

This WS might be the least watched on record.

Corbin Carroll had a hand in all 4 Arizona runs last night: 2 rbi and 2 runs scored. 3 for 4 on the night. This came after going 3-27 in the previous 6 games. Thought he (along with Walker and Longoria) had beome a non-factor. Really surprising that he pulled this off versus Suarez.

Phillies wasting no time: The assistant hitting coach and the BullPen Coach have not been invited back next season. I would expect a few more adjustments next. I also believe that the teams GM will be aggressively shopping the market for hitting talent as well In the off-season.

The Diamondbacks showed the Phillies hitters nothing they hadn’t already seen during the regular season. There is also scouting out the wazoo, “Pitcher A tends to throw B in situation C.” That’s a constant. It wasn’t coaching that killed the Phils, not that you said as much.

Watching the fightin's the past 2 sees has been a lot of fun. Made it to the WS Game 3 last year, a spring training game in Clearwater, and a game this past season. Been to many Phillies games since the late 70s. This team has been a joy to watch and see this city embrace them the way they did. The Bank has become a great homefield advantage for them. I don't follow super closely but it appears that ownership and management are doing their best to bring/build a World Series Championship to Philly. I have been a lifelong Philly sports fan, and learned to never get my hopes up(thanks Andy Reid) and just enjoy the ride. We win a World Series then great and I will go to the parade, we fall short, no big deal, life goes on. I like the passion of the players on this team.

Rangers just bashing in the DBacks. Shows how far off the cliff the Phillies bats fell, but that happened all season.

I hope like heck the Phillies don't resign Hoskins. He's the worst defensive first baseman in baseball.
Hard to imagine Hoskins coming back. That single move unleashes a bunch of stuff that I don’t think the Phillies want. Unless you trade Nick, Harper to right means Castellanos has to move to left. Nick has worked hard to be a productive RF’er and you’d be asking him to move. It also means Marsh becomes your CF’er and Rojas has no starting role. I think Marsh deserves the opportunity to see all pitching so I don’t believe you want to platoon Marsh and Rojas.

Now Dombrowski did say that Rojas has to earn the CF job but I believe they want him to show them that he deserves CF.

Hoskins coming back impacts Harper, Nick, Marsh, and Rojas not to mention the salary considerations for anything beyond a show me one season salary with Rhys. I think the Phillies need as much salary flexibility as possible to deal with Nola rather than add Hoskins to the mix.

Now I’m sure it will happen that Rhys comes back on a one year deal but I think that move impacts too many other areas to ultimately happen.

Sry on Rhys no do not want him back. I never want to see him in the field at first base in a Phil’s uniform. Too much of a butcher.

Hoskins coming back impacts the defense more than anything. With Schwarber, Realmuto and Castellanos and Turner the Phil's have all the strikeouts they need, and Hoskins would just add to that total. Rojas just turned 23 so he's young and I think he can be a 260 hitter at least. I hope Bryce stays at first base and have Castellanos, Rojas and Marsh in the outfield. Just my thoughts. Also, I know good pitchers are hard to come by but if the Phillies give Nola more than 3 years, I'm afraid they will be eating the last few years of the contract.
