Look even Apple has an HVL emoji I do kind of feel sorry for her. Nothing has seemed to work out for her like she thought it would. Her first coach leaves and then she stays for her 5th year seemingly to try and win a title and they aren't even ranked. She is a great player though!

In their last five UK is 1-4. They beat a poor Mizzou team but in the other 4 they gave up 88, 91, 95, and 98 playing matador defense, OLE!!.Petty is still most improved player but Jessika Carter clamps her down.

This is their second matchup of the season. Ark pummeled the elephants the first time. Ark shot poorly but Dominated the boards and Dauda had 10 blocked shots and they won by 18. But this is Ark after all, a team that lost to UK and then beat them by 30 in the rematchThat said, Bama is no model of consistent play. You made me curious, Owusu has only played in the last six games. She is averaging 18 ppg and is still just a nightmare matchup for defenses. She could make them a 5 or 6 seed or even host by tourney time. They go 10 deep and are a very good shooting team. A little weak down low.
I would really like to know what happened last year at Va. Tech. I shudder to imagine if she had gone to LSU instead

Interesting HVL brags about how good LSU's second teamers are and how they are better than other teams LSU will face. Yet, LSU usually plays only seven players and the starters average 30+ minutes a game. High hopes/bravado do not seem to match reality.
In comparison, I would not see HVL cracking our starting lineup, but she could play a nice role on a solid second unit with Watkins, Feagin, Fulwiley, and Tessa Johnson.

I've read she's not hurting for NIL money, so don't feel too sorry for her.
I went back to look at Georgia Amoore's numbers from 2 years ago and her shooting percentages were actually better than last year. Her scoring was up last season because she played more minutes. I have to wonder what Kenny Brooks said to Owasu to get her to go there. Point guard definitely wasn't a need for VA Tech.
Regardless, I'm glad things are working out for her at Penn State. She can potentially be really good in the right situation. She can't shoot from the perimeter at all, but surrounded by shooters, she's a nightmare matchup problem for opposing teams.
The first time in eons that the SEC doesnt win the NC in FB and you claim the conference sucked in spite of having 4 teams in the top 10. You do the same now with the SEC in WBB....why? Because you need to prolificate and

I watched the SEC largely dominate both the BCS and CFP eras, often (not always) fielding five or six teams (some combination of Bama, LSU, Auburn Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida) that realistically could have won it all in a given year. So, yeah, compared to those years, the year just past constituted suckage. It might even be a generous characterization.
More BS. Bama lost a close game in the semis, could have won it all. Georgia had one loss, to Bama, could have won it all. There were two legit candidates in the SEC to win it all this year, same as it ever has been. Never has any conference had 5-6 teams ready to win it all in a single season. And no conference had 4 teams in the top ten as did the SEC this year.

She's been playing great. I have some amazing numbers on Bree, but don't want to post them 2 hours before the game. Scared I might jinx her. lol
@DarkCock I feel the same way. Breezy is playing really well though and it looks sustainable. Great player, and her younger sister is #3 in her 2026 class I believe, hope she comes to SC also.

. I thought something was up with her. I couldn’t find her in any of the pics from the plane ride or practice today. Pretty sure she and Collin Murray Boyles are an item. She better not have mono Please let that not be the illness. I heard he's still recovering from mono and we haven't even seen him at full strength yet.

Very tough shooting quarter of play for the Gamecocks as they shot 5-19 (.263) from the field and 0-8 from behind the 3-pt. line. They still somehow lead however, 13-12 after one period....
Both teams still shooting poorly for the game - South Carolina shot better marginally, if 5-16 (.313) can be referred to as "better", but Auburn shot worse at 4-18 (.222), as the Gamecocks grew their lead to five at 27-22 at the half.
Youngsters are leading the way for USC, with Ashlyn Watkins having 8 pts on 3-4 shooting, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals in 17 minutes. Also freshman Milaysia Fulwiley scored 8 pts as well on 3-9 shooting.
