Does anyone else see the ticker at the bottom of the SEC Network right now about our game? “Streak of 28 straight double-digit home wins snapped” as if they just had to find something that has gone wrong for our team.
TN played hard. We shot as poorly as we have all year and had some other issues. I am happy to get another W, an undefeated record in the SEC, and an undefeated record on the season.

What stands out is the possibility of LSU facing Auburn and Ole Miss, the 2 hottest teams besides us and LSU. I expect LSU to win both, but how much will it take out of them?

I'm not sure of Endiya Rogers status for the SEC tournament. She's a big piece missing, if she doesn't play for the Aggies.

Sad sad sad…. Clemson ties FSU with 4.4 seconds in OT. Defends well, gets rebound with 1 second, calls timeout….. that THEY DONT HAVE! TECHNICAL FOUL, FSU WINS 82-79.
Screw Clemson!
Last word out of their last huddle should have been ''no time outs team''.

Here's hoping for a Carolina vs Vandy final...Can't wait to be in Greenville. Don't forget BBQ fans, support Bucky's BBQ at 1700 Roper Mountain Rd. Greenville. And don't forget to order the Sweet Potato Crunch as one of your sides.

Fresh Hickory Smoked BBQ - Bucky’s Bar-B-Q (buckysbbq.com)
Sweet Potato Crunch is top notch at Bucky's!

If you're looking for good hash, try Henry's Smokehouse just a couple of blocks down from the venue on Wade Hampton Blvd.

I like that draw for the Gamecocks.

I think we match up well with A&M or Mississippi State. Should be a nice tuneup game after a week off. Alabama is another team we matchup well with and Tennessee could be a challenge but they will be 3 days in by the time we would meet them.

That would likely leave a final matchup with LSU or Ole Miss. LSU and their short rotation of players 3 days in seems like the easier matchup at face value. Especially if they have their entire starting lineup playing teams Kentucky for 30+ minutes a game. Whereas an Ole Miss team that has depth and prides itself with defense could be a serious challenge for our team on it's 3rd game in 3 days.

They lost a game to West Virginia a couple of years ago by having six players on the court after their last time out!

Interesting quote from DS in post game yesterday. She was asked to compare the locker rooms from last year to this year.

Dawn said “Last year was a PHD. seminar. This year I it’s daycare. So much talking about nothing.”

it starts at the 1:15 mark in the presser

I was at the game and haven't rewatched. What happened with Kellie? We thought she got t'd up but I guess it was a warning?

Taliah Scott for Ark has missed 10 games with injuries BUT 22ppg 37 minutes per game. Not saying she should win, but her exclusion from the conversation is about who she plays for not about how she has played.

Only 35% shooting, though. She lead the SEC in shots per game when playing. She has no conscience when it comes to shooting. She takes a lot of tough shots. And shooting is really all she brings at this point.

btw, reading the Arkansas board, there might be more going on than just a "family emergency" with her absence.

That was an exciting game, definitely the kinda of game we needed before going into the postseason. Just enough of a scare to show that competing for a championship won't be easy.
It felt like every UT game, going back to the Freshies 1st season when Key blocked 9 shots. We never win easily, but I also never feel like we might lose.

Speaking of Key, the Vols were +5 with her in the game (She scored only 2 points. Her defensive presence means that much). She just doesn't have the stamina to contribute for more than 20 minutes. Late in the game and no Key on the floor, we dominated the boards. Watkins shut down a tired Rickea Jackson in those final minutes and got to the line on offense. Our depth wore them down.

It was confusing but it wasn't a technical it was a timeout. She was trying to call a timeout before Milaysia stole an inbound pass, but there was some confusion after the steal if she still wanted it or not. Because she was so animated about it I think people thought she received a technical.

It was pretty unclear in the broadcast as well. They also thought she was called for a tech by the officiating crew too. Apparently it had something to do with Kellie complaining about them not recognizing her calling a timeout, but the ref thought she was actually calling a timeout in that moment and they briefly stopped the game on an uncalled timeout. Maybe someone else understood it more, but that's what I remember from the broadcast.

I bet Mikalyah wins it bc I doubt coaches look at the numbers all that closely. I feel like all these awards just go to most points scored. That's what drives me crazy about players of the year. I feel like there should be a DPOY and an OPOY and then an all around player of the year.

Lol the timing. Something told me somebody else would answer this.

You're probably right, hopefully Milaysia uses it a fuel or any of our others players that perceive to be snubbed.

Williams was in boot yesterday and didn't play. The game with Kentucky was closer than expected. Flau'jae played 38 minutes. I think the perceived "valuableness" of the LSU starters is going to help them with SEC honors, even though that isn't a criteria. I expect Reese and Williams to win POY and FOY. Dawn has COY wrapped up. Watkins 6th Woman of the Year. She should also win Defensive, but less sure of that. 1st and 2nd team SEC should be interesting. LSU will definitely get 4 picks. I am only certain of two for us: Cardoso and Paopao.

Just a horrible Sunday for injuries…
It appears that
Molly Davis starter for Iowa
Elizabeth Kitley 2X ACC POY for Va Tech
McKenzie Holmes all B1G center for Indiana

May have season ending injuries. How serious is LSU’s Williams injury?

I will assume your statement of the "shot poorly, as we have all year as sarcasm at best? Yes in the two Tenn games we have not shot well for one reason or the other and we had a two game stretch where we were below our average , but that is 4 games out of 29 and all year we have been one of the best shooting teams in the nation if you look at NCAA and SEC stats over the course of the full year as shown here: 1. Our fg% for the year 50.15% which is tied for 3rd overall in the country with Uconn and is 1st in the SEC, 2. Our 3pt% is 40.8% which 2nd in the country and 1st in the SEC. Also these numbers have been compared the best shooting percentages for one team over the past four years by NCAA analytics staff. Yes we have had a clunker or two, but by no means have we shot all year poorly. The metrics just do not fit that narrative.

I think he phrased it poorly. I believe he was referring simply to yesterday

Okay. I will give him that. I just could not let the "as we have all year" comment go past without really looking at all of the data, which supports that fact that this team is a very good shooting team and probably the best ever in terms of shooting since Dawn has been here.

Read on a UConn site that Sarah Strong has started following Kellie Harper. Anyone know if true? Anyone with additional info?
