Im not saying I want that, just that it would make other teams and players hate life so much. In ll honesty I think Zia and Boston are gone and should be. However, I think Beal and Amihere could possibly come back. Amihere more so because I think she could really enhance her stock being here and starting next year.
If those came back I could see a starting 5 of Johnson, Beal, B Hall, Amihere and Cardossa. Watkins and Fulwiley first off the bench possibly?
This maybe heresy….. but I do hope that Amihere comes back for a fifth year. However I hope she takes it somewhere else.

She has sacrificed so much for this program. If she is really going to develop herself for the WNBA she needs to go where she will play 30-32 minutes a game. That won’t happen here. A place where they put the ball in her hands 15 times a game in a position with an expectation to score.

For the 4 play-in games:
4 teams have 2 games to decide two of the 16th seeded teams
And
4 teams have 2 games to decide two of the 11th seeded teams.
Why not have all play-in games decide the 4 16th seeds?

TV? I would at least tune in Illinois and Miss State. I don't think even the most diehard wbb fan would watch 2 16 team seeds play. Family and some friends only. lol

plays on same team with Morgan Cheli. good to see our staff recruiting out west.
maybe one of these days, we’ll land a west coast prospect or two.
Her dad is a sports administrator out west. So probably unlikely she'll travel all the way across the country to play ball. His excitement, however, about the offer is a testament to where this program is right now.

YOU CAN’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT

In 2018 Two of the top 5 recruits for WBB
turned us down. To add insult to injury Christyn Williams, a SG, and Olivia Nelson-Ododa, a C, choose our rival UCONN over us.

It was a huge disappointment. We had recently won a national championship and STILL they chose UCONN! Some on here questioned, “Will we ever be able to win head to head recruiting battles with UCONN?”

The next year We were coming off our worst record in 8 years. We still needed a center and a shooting guard in the worst way.
You know the rest of the story……..
Aliyah, Zia, Brea, and LA CAME HERE!

No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
BUT IF YOU TRY SOMETIME, YOU’LL FIND
YOU GET WHAT YOU NEED

You are so right. That year was tough! There were also Aquira DeCosta and NaLyssa Smith who we missed out on. But sometimes things happen for a reason.

I remember talking King Ward down off the ledge back on the other site when Ododa picked UCONN. I made the point that losing Ododa opened up an opportunity for the next recruiting class. Just think about it: do we land Boston if Ododa is already here?

Yeah. Unfortunately, that girl has Stanford written all over her.

Well it looks like all of the SEC women's teams are undefeated in the NCAA tournament and the Women's NIT.

The ACC teams are dropping like flies. Here's hoping UNC gets beat on Saturday afternoon. Ready for Duke and VT to exit as well...

THE GOOD: Raven Johnson with 7 assists. It would have been more if we didn't miss several bunnies. She only scored 2 points, but it felt like she dominated the game when she was on the floor. Raven's going to be a special player, if she's not already.

THE BAD: Saxton played 16 minutes without grabbing a single defensive rebound. At the half, we only had 1 more rebound than Norfolk.

THE UGLY: 16 missed free throws

Some more good: Sania Feagin is very talented. Maybe that won't matter much in this tournament, but it will next season.

Tough loss for NC State. They had a 5 point lead with less than a minute to play.

The defense was good once again holding them to 40 pts on 26.2% shooting to go along with 11 steals.

And, yes, Feagin was our most effective offensive player. I feel good about her, Raven and Cardoso as starters next year......but I digress. More work to be done this year!!!

The only time DS has called a time out all season that wasn’t to get subs in or set up a play happened today. Coach was absolutely furious with Raven’s back to back turnovers. They were bad turnovers. Called the TO so she could get her out of the game immediately and not wait for a dead ball.
Raven is special but uneven today.

I think Zia committed one of the turnovers.

Virginia Tech is fairly close to the inbred state of Tennessee.......shouldn't you add them to the vast list of teams you pull for?

You absolutely prove the point of being a worthless poster. Now go back to your fantasy land of what you can think to post next on this site to rub Gamecock fans the wrong way.

I don’t believe so, but as soon she called the TO Dawn was yelling at Raven(don’t think I’ve seen her that angry at player all year) and in her face. Raven was benched. Don’t know about Zia

I went back and watched at 24-7. Zia committed the 1st turnover that lead to a transition bucket; Raven, the 2nd.

I think what set Dawn off was Raven's failure to pick up the trailing 3 point shooter quick enough in addition to the turnover. She yelled something after calling TO, but my lip reading skills aren't that great.

Overall, though, we were +18 with Raven in and +20 with Cardoso. They play so well together.

Zia did make the second turnover. In the postgame press conference, her comments about it went to both guards though it may have been that she look like she was emphasizing it to Raven more at that point. She did return in the game and go the majority of point minutes
