South Florida was fortunate to beat Marquette. They trailed nearly all of regulation.

Marquette spreads the floor with shooters, so I thought that would have been an interesting matchup for us. USF is a more traditional team, giving Dawn more flexibility with her lineup.

The Bulls have 3 really good players who play 35+ minutes. I think they should be concerned about foul trouble. Don't think they can be competitive without all 3 out there. But they showed a lot of resilience yesterday. We can't take them lightly.

They had 4 starters in double digits but zero points from their bench. They might keep it close for awhile but our depth should kick in and take care of business. I expect us to play much better than yesterday.

Maybe I owe the SEC an apology. Conference teams are playing much better than I expected. Hopefully I didn't jinx Bama. They are up 22-4 against Baylor.
Sorry, Bama, if I jinked you. But you weren't beating UCONN with the way you played defense today.

The Bulls' starting point guard doesn't look to score AT ALL. She has only made 1 field goal in the last 13 games. She's averaging 27 minutes per game. Yikes.

The game vs USF will be broadcast by ABC over-the-air! Which means that even if you don't subscribe to cable/satellite/streaming, you can watch the game with a good antenna (depending on how far away your are from the transmitting tower).

I was going to bring this up but all the "DS can do no wrong because she wins" folks would have jumped all over me. I'll let you be that guy today.
Wtf is with that garb?

Now if we could make a shot it wouldn't even be close.
Dawn is wearing a Yolanda Laney throwback jersey. Laney played for Cheyney, the D-2 school that made the first NCAA Final Four.

does that meet y’alls approval ?

She can wear what she wants but why the need to make an apparel statement every game?

Ahhhh .. I looked it up. About race again... imagine that.

"Cheyney, the nation's oldest HBCU, is located roughly 30 miles from Staley's hometown of Philadelphia. Its women's basketball team became the first — and only — HBCU to reach the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament in 1982, ultimately falling to Louisiana Tech in the national championship game."

soooo..just for the record, she chose to honor & bring some recognition to a little known team from near her hometown, that accomplished a feat no other similar school has and you a have problem with that because it also happens to be a HBCU ?

okayyy…

How about honoring the school that pays her ridiculous salary?
Would she have honored that program if it wasn't a HBCU?
Everyone knows what she's about.

I think lifting 7 SEC regular season, 7 SEC Tournament Championships, 2 National championships and another unanimous #1 in the Covid season in the last 10 years honors the Gamecocks pretty damn well.

And all you want to do is whine about what she wears

No. Dress like a D1 HC, please.

So whether we agree or disagree with DS choice of clothing, why does she choose to continue to do it? And "because she can" doesn't count.
What's the motive? What's the end game?
Why never any USC stuff?

I keep seeing her wear those two national championship rings and basketball nets as necklaces. Works for me
How about those last three quarters
