I'm really hoping it's Paopao too. I guess there is slim chance it could be a 2024 recruit as well.Either Paopao, Walker or Day-Wilson. Hoping Paopao

You feel confident it's her?I can hear the Brad Muller call already….
BANG! Pow Pow!!
Me too. I watched her last game against Stanford. She hit 7 3's. They didn't come easy either. Oregon had ZERO inside presence. She also guarded Hannah Jump on the defensive end.I'm really hoping it's Paopao too. I guess there is slim chance it could be a 2024 recruit as well.
I didn't watch this, but thought the comment was interesting. I want to hate LSU, but I might need to reevaluate.
You ain't seen nothing yet. She's now proven she can win the national championship while not having nearly the best team. That's vexing. That's worrisome. Her team will get even better. That's problematic, to put it mildly.Don't worry, Kim makes it really, really easy to hate LSU.
Oh really? In 2017 Dawn was "lucky" to win a national championship when Miss State beat UCONN. At least that's what some fans said. You ain't seen nothing yet. Don't worry Mulkey has lost plenty of times with some of best teams in the nation. She often underperforms in the post season. The sky is by no means falling. You ain't seen nothing yet. UConn wasn't as good in 2017 as we were this year. LSU's break dwarfs ours, but the galling part is that we did more to provide it for them than Iowa did.Oh really? In 2017 Dawn was "lucky" to win a national championship when Miss State beat UCONN. At least that's what some fans said.
I hope y'all will excuse me for being somewhat influenced by the Dime Store Queen's four (4) national championships. But I blame us for that.Don't worry Mulkey has lost plenty of times with some of best teams in the nation. She often underperforms in the post season. The sky is by no means falling.
UConn was undeafeated and was on a like over 100-game winning streak. Mississippi State did not have the national player of the Year either. Only the names involved occasion that statement. We had a dominant team this year - dominant.UConn was undeafeated and was on a like over 100-game winning streak. Mississippi State did not have the national player of the Year either. That was a way bigger upset.
Well, I am not denying that. It still pains me we lost.Only the names involved occasion that statement. We had a dominant team this year - dominant.
Body of work.Well, I am not denying that. It still pains me we lost.
Though as long as we are talking about huge upsets, how about Kim Mulkey's 2012–13 Baylor Lady Bears basketball team? They returned all their starters from the year before when they were undefeated and won the chip. It was Griner's senior year. And they lost in the Sweet 16! That's got to be the worst.
I guess we can rule out Morrow as the birdie.
A lot of folks said that about Dawn when she won her first championship in 2017. Winning a title is a lot more than having the best team. There is a measure of luck where someone takes out a team that should have (on paper) advanced or a team that has a bad night. Again, 2017 MSST took out UCONN and we went on to beat MSST. I don't understand why people find it so hard to give Dawn credit but heaps praise on Mulkey. Mulkey's team got beaten, by a less talented Tenn team, in the SEC tournament. LSU had a bad game and tenn took advantage. Mulkey is a very good coach but so is Dawn. Should be some interesting battles ahead. Dawn can compete and win against the best. It's not my intention to denigrate Dawn. But the Dime Store Queen is a bulldog - tenacious - way more than an annoyance. Four national championships - that's major. Look, when you get to this level, and Dawn deserves immense credit for getting us there, it comes at a cost. The cost is that national championships are what matters. You think Pat cared or Geno cares about anything else?A lot of folks said that about Dawn when she won her first championship in 2017. Winning a title is a lot more than having the best team. The foregoing post explains it.Not sure I grasp what you mean?

The difference in Dawn and Kim is this. Kim will tell players what they want to hear and give them alot of freedom to be themselves even at the cost of outside perception. That entices many kids today because of their feelings of entitlement and me first attitude. Mix that with winning anyway and it is a dangerous mix to compete against.
Dawn tells kids what they NEED to hear and drives them to think not just of themselves but the betterment of the team and whole program. This leads the ladies to more success in the future in knowing how to be professional in all walks of life. That is why she is very selective on who she gets. Tea Cooper taught her the valuable lesson on that.
Agreed, plus it is a lot easier to be the hunter than the hunted. We know that well enough this year. Teams will be so motivated to beat them in ways they weren't this year, and now the pressure will be on LSU to win in ways the pressure was not on this year. And teams will spend all off-season studying Reese's game and figuring out the best ways to stop it (like they did with Boston this past year).Losses happen and it's part of the game. I will say at this point in her career Kim has fumbled taking her often top 5 recruited teams to their potential moreso than Dawn has.
She literally had the biggest cheat code it WBB history in Griner and only won one title and only made one other Final Four. A player so dominantly big and skilled compared to her peers that they added a defensive 3 second rule to the WNBA almost immediately.
LSU will have a great team next year but I definitely think they'll have a less chance of going back to back to them we did this season. Especially if they add multiple big personalities and ball dominant players such as HVL to their team.
Kim also knows what she has coming in so let's see what schedule she puts together. Will she challenge her team or let them spend the non conference season padding stats and picking up easy victories? No more of a scheduling excuse about not knowing what type of team she has coming in.Agreed, plus it is a lot easier to be the hunter than the hunted. We know that well enough this year. Not surprised about Deberry. I have read some on her, she is a quite bright and free spirited young woman. She appears to really enjoy the college academic experience and just loves being at UConn. I think she was over rated as a prospect and is not singularly focused on BB as her ultimate life goalSince the portal entries seem to be winding down (I know they have until 5/11) who are some names you are surpirsed by that have not entered? I am surprised that Amari Deberry hasn't entered as well as Jersey Wolfenbarger. I hope both teams will use them more next year if they stick around.
And Sasha Goforth is returning, so she's going to fall further down the depth chart. Not surprised about Deberry. I have read some on her, she is a quite bright and free spirited young woman. Wolfenbarger is a mystery. Her minutes and all important stats took a big dive last year. She did not miss any games due to injury but her game clearly regressed. She is from Arkansas so maybe she wants to stay

Haley Frank taking a 5th year and staying at Mizzou surprised me. WF guard Jewel Spear not entering portal was a surprise
