point being a lot of folks saying joe lost it his last 10 years that would mean 2002 and on

2005 was quite a special team

with 2008 and 2009 also being pretty good teams

View attachment 428831
If we are talking about when it became evident Joe was in the twilight of his career, you can start around 2000. Or even the end of 1999. Some of the stats you posted are a bit deceiving also. For instance, 2009 looks good on paper but was a bit underwhelming in reality. They only beat 1 ranked team that year. The nonconference schedule was especially weak and they got embarrassed at home in prime time against Iowa. I think they made Adrian Clayborn a high ranked draft pick because he looked like a man playing against boys that night.

Love manny, but he can’t run both sides of the ball. If he goes, chalk it up to he sees the writing on the wall here as far as what we are capable of under CJF.
If he goes, it’s because he has aspirations to be a head coach again. Nothing more or less.

Is that by reading his reactions on tv? A tv hot take? Lol
Read a few quotes from Manny and he told Franklin before he took the job that he wants to be a HC again. That's out there.
10/18/23 The Athletic- Audrey Snyder-
Nobody knew how Diaz, now 49, would fit in on this staff. He’s been upfront since his first season here that he wants to be a head coach again. It very much feels like this is temporary, even if the fit couldn’t have worked out any better.
“Manny has done a great job of fitting in as one of the 10 assistant coaches, but also as a D-coordinator,” running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider said. “He’s an easy guy to be around. He’s got an infectious personality. He’s a wise guy on the staff too. Manny likes to crack a lot of jokes that you guys don’t get to see.”

I would settle for the QB going under center in short yardage situations. It drives me crazy to see a big kid like Allar in the shotgun when we need a yard or less.

I think we also need to consider something gents. We are all grown men with families, mortgages, kids, professions, etc. Drew Allar is a 19 yr old kid. I cringe thinking some of the comments by our fan base today towards him at 19 yrs old. Franklin, Yurcich, the other coaches are fair game, but Drew is 19. He’ll grow and learn from things. He’s still athletically gifted. Give him a chance.

That’s fine, let him donate his $$$ to charity. I’m pro breast cancer research. The dude isn’t 19, he’s a professional football player. He’s banging the hottest girl on campus, drives a gt3 and gives zero Fs about the rick ‘86

N Pleaze poor 15 DAMN LOL

So, when your teenage boys played lacrosse, would you have had the same opinion if the parents of your own team were yelling at them that they suck and put in somebody else? Don’t be an a**. Treat others as you want others to treat you. Talking about yourself in third person doesn’t help either.

Allar should in no way be a target here. He played his *** off and got little help from his teammates or coaches.

And we used the full house backfield on short yardage all season. With a lot of success. Until not even trying it today.

Yeah, I don’t get that either. Why do they try to run Singleton up the gut, then put in Allen and try to run him wide? Shouldn’t it be the opposite? Why not give Potts some more reps also? I like him.

To be clear my son 1 lax senior year was
-recruited by Cabrini (Cavaliers Claim 1st NCAA Title with 16-12 Win over #7 Amherst)
-leading scorer on his team
-awarded all state NJ
-won his team academic award
-drove a $10k ARB TJ wrangler that we bought for him
-did not receive $4 million nil money

My question remains, if he was the target of parents and fans of your own team, would you have been ok with that?

Drew Allar nil value

On3 projects Allar's NIL value to be approximately $335,000. While still a large amount of money for a college athlete, that would give Drew Allar the 135th largest brand size in college football.

so sorry for him

Nobody seems to trust the coaching, so why trust the decisions on who plays? Give him and Saunders some PT and see.
You make a good point. I'm just tired of the BWI guys' overuse of hyperbole before the season. How many years did we hear that our Offensive line was going to be our strength? How many times did we hear we have the best room this or that in the Big Ten. It's all smoke and mirrors from these guys.

CJF isn’t going anywhere unless he wants to. That contract is huge and guys like Deon who can come in and catch lightning in a bottle are rare. You have to let the next guy build and that takes years. This only has a chance to get better when he leaves or finds Saquon part 2 or finds JoMo who can confuse defenses for a season. CFJ isn’t beating OSU, Michigan, or USC. 10-2 or 9-3 is where it’s at until he goes.I guess a few on here will be thrilled, but seems like a real waste of opportunity for a school that could be great.
Deon built an entirely new team in one season using the portal. How hard can it be for PDU to recruit a couple of game changers?

And BTW, let’s see what Colorado does over the next few years before crowning him King of College Football.

That doesn’t excuse people for being rude and obnoxious towards a 19 yr old.
FYI. $4 million is a big difference than $335k. You seem to be in an argument with yourself about that? You said you were in construction. I hope you didn’t bid jobs?

I think Franklin is a really good coach, I just think in the biggest games he craps the bed and does things very differently than what we see in the other games. The other games prove he’s a great coach, the big games prove he also gets overwhelmed and chokes.
Define “great.”

And you don’t know me. Not sure why you are talking **** on Allar either. Nobody feels worse than that kid. You don’t seem to get that concept. I made a point of not being rude to a 19 yr old kid and somehow you took the hard line in the opposite direction. Not a good look for you.

Good for your son on Cabrini. That was a great program. I was disappointed to learn Villanova took them over. It was a nice campus with good athletics.

The point I’m trying to make is, those that are loudest against Franklin were somehow satisfied with 2000-2011 with Joe. There really isn’t much difference.
Franklin is no Joe.

Ask me anything about my sons journey, happy to respond
Like you, your sons appear to be complete losers..

Doted upon by their father (and perhaps mother)
Managed to graduate from high school and have allegedly gone on to "great things"
Your schtick is getting stale
I'll stop now before I spill the real beans.

10 years ago I would have been in full agreement.

NIL changed all that for me.

19 years old? IDGAF. You wanna take all that money, you're subject to criticism just like anybody else drawing a paycheck when you don't do well at your job.

Somewhat agree. Just putting myself in the role of a dad of an 18 yr old here.
