Lorenzen!!! Kind of fell off since the no hitter. It is getting silly with falling behind early by a bunch of runs.

I don't know what it is about baseball. I'm very anti-superstition with all things but baseball. At the beginning of the 9th I had this strong feeling we were gonna comeback but I didn't dare say it out loud.

Boom goes the dynamite!

Phillies blew it in the bottom of the ninth by not getting Rojas into scoring position with less than two outs.

disappointing that they weren't able to get the W, after tying it with 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th.

Kimbrel has proven unworthy of being trusted in those situations. His control is abysmal. I want no part of him come the postseason.

He was excellent for most of the season. Of late, he's been a high wire act, which doesn't always end well for the Phillies. We'll see how things go for him in the next month, but if Alverez works himself back to form, I suspect we'll see less of Kimbrel in the postseason.

The problem with control issues is that they get between your ears and are hard to fix in season.

This was before Wednesday's game. Schwarber had another HR in Wednesday's game.

Schwarbs is a riddle. He’s a .190 lead off hitter. But he has 40 HRs and 80+ RBIs. But he only has about as many other hits as HRs. But he draws a lot of walks. But he has a -0.7 WAR on the season. Crazy set of contradictions.

Your last sentence is a great description of Schwarber. There is data (some that you provided) that can be used to advance almost any argument for or against Schwarber, for or against him leading off, etc. I've listened to some sports talk out of Philadelphia in recent weeks, and Schwarber is a frequent discussion point, and fans and hosts are all over the place with regards to him.
