that's why they will never win anything- listening to fans and boosters
Agree. The XM guys said the people saying no to Stoops are idiots. They said they need to realize what their program is, which is a 3-4 loss program every year. They’ve only won 10 games twice in the last 25 yrs.

Okay, I’m officially off the fire Franklin train. Also off the hope for beating UM/OSU train. Just gonna live with the ceiling. Honestly - if A&M and their giant bag of money can’t do better than a mid hire while fans revolt, we probably wouldn’t either. Just please no Tulane in the bowl. Please.

Watch that first step. It's a doozy.

Death, taxes, and Franklin does no wrong from the FDF. And no hire will justify criticism from the Franklin Defense Force.

Not so different.
Better check sentence #2. Fwiw, I'm for status quo. But, hang with me here....I actually am willing to admit that Franklin is much better suited to make the decision.....than I am or even you and the CAC!
It’s always OBVIOUSLY important that a Head Coach not accept any blame himself and transfer ALL the blame to one of his staff!
Almost as obvious as fans blaming every loss on the HC or officials.

Graduated from Cedar Crest in Lebanon . James should get him a paid advisor or asst to the asst to the asst AD slot
his dad is/was one of the last 2 way players for PSU.
His brother Joe is HC at Wingate, he has a very good record.

So, if someone is better suited to make a decision than you, you believe that person’s decision is beyond your reproach. Interesting.

Tom Allen got like $20 million….this sport is f*cking insane. Harbaugh said he’d take less if it mean players got more. And we wonder why his team is full of guys who came back instead of left early.
No - it’s not the sport - it’s the business around the sport. The business around the sport is not controlled by the ADs, nor the fans (much to Harrisburdave’s chagrin)

It’s controlled by a small group of well heeled donors who either control, or heavily influence decisions on coaching hiring and firing. The $20MM that Allen was promised (since reduced to $15MM in negotiation) is probably split amongst a few well heeled donors, and I would imagine there may even be a tax advantage for the payout.

It's both the purest form of capitalism and elitism wrapped around a sport.

So, Mark Stoops, the coach who has taken Kentucky football to consistent success like it’s never seen before wasn’t good enough for the fan base or boosters, but Elko, the second year coach at Duke, is? What am I missing? I know Elko was DC there for awhile, but his head coaching acumen isn’t very experienced. Am I totally missing something?
